No Gold Skin for the FDL?

Some time ago, FDL had a gold paintjob. Then it was removed from the store.
Later, owners of the original paintjob received a free "revised" gold paintjob, without "chrome" effect.

I'm not 100% on this. I thought maybe the gold was a limited offer and then the golden was the gift for having it (and a Horizons pre-order too maybe). If I'm honest, it's a blur. Maybe my posting this post is not helpful.

Hello.

The Asp Gold paint-job was an in-game reward for completing a particular CG, ages ago. The Asp Golden paint-job was added recently, for free, but only if you had the earlier Asp Gold paint-job. Both are things of lovely, shiny goodness.

I think the original Gold was intended as a one-time exclusive, but I'd be lying if I said I was at all sure. Whether such limitation might or might not extend to the subsequent Golden one is entirely for Frontier to interpret. Personally, I'd be very happy to see more of them about.

I don't like the gold paint jobs. Way too flashy. Reminds me of some CoD tryhards I used to know who would brag about the gold weapon skins they had. I just don't care. And it would be terrible for my FDL. Grey or black for me. No nonsense, and always classy. Always liked the black friday FDL paintjob. Just so sleek, classy, and it looks a bit menacing. As it should.
