Man I couldn't write a comedy this hilarious.

Here look at this feature you don't need that won't be in the "coming soon(tm)" patch. Buy hardware for it!

EDIT: Yes, essentially the 3.0 we saw playing live with real people is the 3.0 we're getting, which is basically a 2.7. The demo was seemingly a 2.8 and the 3.0 from last year that was "pretty much complete" is MIA.

Its hillarious, rather then support devices that already have the technolegy running like TrackIR they need to create their own hardware...i mean for headtracking...

and such a revolutionary feature to do headtracking to look around the cockpit. Oh wait, that'd be EDTracker for a tenner 3 years ago...

The Origin 600i is one nice looking ship!!! But, they want $700 for it.. crazy... I have the 315P and think both that and the FDL are the two nicest looking playable space ships...

Clearly not scripted,
Things we have never seen before in gaming. A huge, maybe generational improvement for gaming., What is there to complain about?
$300,000 sales in one hour.
I think it went well

If this was indeed a representation of gameplay then indeed, this will be much WORSE then EDs complaints.

I wouldn't be surprised if this demo will bring in lots of dough tho so mission accomplished.

You could have completed a couple of solid surface missions in ED and docked by the time those SC guys ran down 12 different corridors and 3 elevators with absolutely no working physics or collision detection anywhere. Also where's the AI?

I don't know. It looked nice until it started moving I suppose, fair dues to the art guys. There's no real gameplay, it was painful watching it twice. The only new tech they are showing off is a third party face tracking SDK. ED surface gameplay whilst limited looks very, very stong in comparison to what they just showed.

What they showed looked and moved like a PS1 game with hi def models and textures. The animations are horrendous. The clipping issues are so engrained with SC now they are literally one of its headline features.
