Even if he had checked loadout, why would his first assumption be that the person who asked for help was about to blast him? If you call firefighters to come put out your burning house are they supposed to let the place burn while they spend time patting you down to make sure you don't have any weapons on you?
Granted, given the state of the game, this might be "regular PvP" but it is not "2 condas shooting each other in a fight."
It's one conda nearly instantly melting another conda who came to provide aid in a show of kindness. A good samaritan who got to send out 2 fuel limpets before his ship that was specced for long range rescue (not combat), got shredded by a combat-fit ship.

Correct, which is why my opinion is that I hate both the gankers/griefers (or whatever you want to call them) just as much as I hate the Loggers/whiners/carebears (again whatever you want to call them) that cheat. Both are dragging the game down.
I used to be firmly on the PvE side you know but both have and are acting like children so i'm joining the Thargoids. They seem to have a least polarised, self righteous, entitled view than most of the playerbase.

I do hope you notice that I didn't say he didn't have the right to do it by the way. It's in open and although it's as much of a move as you're ever going to see, it's allowed per the game rules.
None of that changes the fact that luring someone who won't be in a combat build precisely because of the reason they were asked to make the journey to begin with into a trap is plainly seal clubbing. Hell, they even chose the seal lol. Puzzled as to why just calling it for what it is troubles you so much? I mean it's not like it's a stain on the otherwise honourable reputation of SDC is it?

I am curious how they would suggest a fuel rat, who was specifically called for a rescue, would go about "being more prepared for a fight". Should he not carry fuel and fuel limpets? That would defeat the point methinks.
