Ps4 update 15.8gb

While I appreciate and look forward to the update bit peeved as its almost half my data allowance to download, no option for line based internet where i live in the highlands.
Would be nice if there were options by all game devs to offer massive patches/updates etc on a disc to install for us with data caps and poor internet.

guess no internet for me till next month now :eek:

Is the update available right now? I didn't think it went live until 11:00 EST... In other words, how do you know the size of this update?

Wow, that's quite an update. Must remember to start downloading it as soon as I get home rather than wasting my limited playing time.

They try and release the update while the servers are still down so we can download and install before the servers come back.

I had to fire up the ps4 to start the dl as rest mode didn't grab it for me :(

Best update the xbox version as well lol ;)

Ahhhh, thanks, because my ps4 updated it self last night just as I was about to shut it down. Then when I woke up and started the ps4 again, boom I get the message of a 1.6. It's states it will take 22 hours, but inso much as my connection is about 20 years behind most of everyone else. I expected it. Just not the number 1.06.

Excellent! I can start downloading it right now and it'll be ready when I am :D

Does anyone know if training missions will be available while the ED servers are down?

Me thinks it is simular to the launch download where as one may download it, but it won't play until the server's give the ok.

How come PS4 and xbox get to start downloading now and me on PC with crap download speeds have to wait. NOT a dig at anyone or platform, just a question?

I'm as surprised as you are. Usually my PS4 updates aren't available until later in the day (always Tuesday). On the other hand, PSN is not known for its fast download speeds...

Cross post but might be useful info here too

Just found a tip to get the PS4 to download the update remotely. Don't know if this will actually work but it's worth a try :)

Go to the PS Store and purchase anything free, (theme, avatars whatever) they will downloaded automatically to PS4.

As the PS4 is now active it will check for any queued game updates and will download those too...

Downloaded and installed :) now to download the update on xbox for me and also on my sons xbox :/ only 14.22gig btw ;)
