Has anybody destroyed a Thargoid ship yet?

I'm not in favour of all-out war with the Thargoids, or being aggressive to them myself.

However, as we've not got any specific anti-Thargoid weapons or defences yet, I'm curious if anybody has been able to destroy a Thargoid ship with our existing weapons.

It seems you can`t damage them atm, I jousted with one for 15 mins or so and they are quiet easy to hit and evade. I emptied multiple barrages of modded pack hounds along with everything else until I was out of ammo in a modded cutter and no joy. Tactically, they seem as thick as a plank, once we have the weapons to damage them, they`ll drop like flies. Speed is the key.

No. I've been searching for this since live.

Probably not even in the code yet. Not switched on.

CMDRS might as well be pewpewing planets.

Some sort of grind will be introduced before server side switch is thrown?

Well the CG for the Project Parity modules isn't over yet, so makes sense they wouldn't be in game yet
Keep an eye on Galnet, and then Military, high tech and industrial surface Ports, maybe more if the CGs get to tier 4 and 5

Well mining laser DEF does more damage than normal weps but even so it's not enough to ge lower than 99%

2 mining lasers can keep it at 99%.

What's the largest number of ships people have had in the same instance hitting a Thargoid at once?

When your opponent regenerates, you need DPS that exceeds the regeneration. Human weaponry may not be up to this right now on a single ship.

Until I see video of 2 full wings hitting the same target at once, I'm not going to assume they're indestructable.

Well unfortunatelly thargoids are restricted to wings.... you cant drop on someone wake to fight it.we tried yesterday.

Not that they increase firepower. they have a x number or thargons, and they fire all of them at the same time in the most powerful wave. its like 10 torpedoes fired at you or something.

It seems to vary. The third Thargoid Cosmicspacehead and I engaged earlier went extremely hostile immediately and quickly stripped my Vulture's shields and about 30% of my hull. Another one we engaged basically ignored us and barely even responded after we opened fire.

now that you mention.... it seems like a diferent little ships right? they are not just atacking they are sucideing right away to inflict damage right?
