Yeah ! A roadmap is essential to satisfy our curiosity

You really didn't miss anything. Nothing worth mentioning announced. Show was very badly organised and a complete waste of time and money.
Wish I'd stayed at home.
I'm honestly more interested in jurassic park than in Elite at this point, seems pretty dope.
Off the top of my very tired and very drunk head ...
- Krait
- new fleet (can't rememeber the right word) mechanics for groups ... get their own megaships
- cure for beige
- personal codex for accumulating exploration data
- a really cool Alliance ship (forgotten its name)
- improved surface rock stuff on planets (stunning ice world concept art for what they're aiming for)
- improved fog and volumetric lighting effects on planets
- whole new array of mining equipment and challenges ... mining to become a fully fledged career path
- new galactic phenomena to discover (no specifics mentioned tho)
- text to speach for galnet
- new guardian related equipment
.. and it's all for free
P.S. I'm pretty sure I've forgotten a couple

I have to disagree, I had a great time.
I won't disagree that there were problems at FX17 but none of the problems I experienced were down to FDev staff. In fact I'd like to thank them, every member of FDev I met was not just polite and courteous, they treated me as a fellow enthusiast and a member of a shared community, it was genuinely welcoming experiance. Also: the invited speakers were excellent. Thank you FDev, I'll be back next year.
The venue staff, on the other hand, acted like they just didn't care.
I might be completely wrong but I suspect this overhaul of the military career path will be part of them creating a more personal narrative players.Interestingly, there's a lot of stuff they didn't mention in FX17......but which they've been strongly hinting at for months-if not years. Stuff like the overhaul of the Military Career Path (which has been "promised" since late 2015),
