Rank grind to Corvette almost done.

Heh. Been at this for hours. I just want the Corvette. I want it to stop. Every once in a while, I get a brief lucid moment of

40% to go....

+1 rep just for the fact your avatar is a Deadpool kitty

40% though, I guess the only advice is to keep going. You're so close, except then you need the money to buy and outfit it too.

go to a fed system.

do missions, get allied.(or go to a fed system u are already allied to)

grind for 1 whole week, maybe 2. Get corvette. kill anything.

Absolutely love the post - one definately for the wall of fame [up]

Shoot - shoot dat hoop, shoot dat hoop, shoot dat hoop, dat hoop, dat hoop.

V2k.

You're obviously playing the game wrong. The right way is my way. I never used exploits, don't even know what grind is, billions of credits in the bank, King in the empire and post commander in federation, all legit I give you my word.

Don't you know? You're supposed to do random missions in federal systems and then, all of a sudden, you'll be a post commander without even noticing it. Eh.

Grind is all in your head, it's a choice.

I have 38% to go.
I feels like it's slowing down, and I'm getting tempted to fly out to Sothis to do the last bit. Lol

So far I've been avoiding "exploits" systems, and ranking up "as Intended".

I expect my Corvette to be better than everyone else's. Lol

I'm not even bothering with the Imperial Jumbo Jet Cutter. :p

Good luck when you're done. I hit 100% 6 hours ago, and haven't been given a navy mission to rank up yet. I flew to Sol, since everything here is fed... still no luck.

The higher the rank, the more "WORK" it takes per % point. It feels like it's slowing down because it actually is slowing down.

This is just like any other ED progression, proportional increase.

To complete last combat rank, the work required is roughly equal to all the work put into all the lower ranks COMBINED.

FED and IMP rank seem no different.

This...^

The closer I got to getting the rank, the slower the progression. I tried the ceos/sothis gig a few times but what a bore. I just went back to doing my normal data and cargo missions, interspersed with some res time to change things up a bit. Took me about 5 months to finally get my vette. I've not bothered with buying a Cutter, even though I have the rank for it. Can't seem to find a use for that ship other than massive cargo runs for CGs or something. But I don't do CGs, nor any of the other MMO type stuff. And after driving a conda for a bit (and hating it) I can't see the attraction to something that is an even bigger cow, handling wise. Oh well, to each their own. :)

Enjoy that vette when you get it.

Ive used Cutter for exploration.. well, just a trial shortish circuit run tbh, but it has ample slots for everything you need/want.
CGs and trading, it does shift a lot of materials.
Its an awesome miner, but a tad sluggish.
I used my cutter to earn my way to the Corvette.
Might try the 'vette as a miner :)

Well Ceos/Sothis was great until today for missions. I'm currently at 65% Post Commander, so only a bit more to go, but Ceos/Sothis today seems to be low on data type missions, but with a bit more donation missions. Time to buy my way to the top to get it done this morning so I can get the new thruster color and ship paint for the Corvette I've been wanting to do...

Play your own way, blaze your own trail, etc, I'm not one to tell you you're doing it wrong; but you're doing it wrong. You're doing it quickly, but wrong. You can unlock the Corvette by doing lots of different and varied missions while still enjoying the game. Post Captain took me a month instead of Sothis' two weeks, but I had fun doing it.

Not my experience at all.
I just finished Duke about a week ago.
Marquis took no longer than Baron, maybe 8-10 hrs playing time tops, with sparse boards.
I'm at Ensign too and the rate seems no different.

It would take years to just hope it happens at some point. If you want a Vette in a timely manner, this is the only way. Missions aren't fun. It's too bad they're the only means of progression.
