New Aegis station -Pleiades

Whilst doing routine haulage missions I came across a narcotics smuggling run into the new Aegis station 'Artemis Lodge'

This station is one of the first orbitals in the sector that contains a shipyard. The scenery is quite stunning here, the station is positioned just above an asteroid field. Plenty of missions out here too.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in the region, I nearly screwed up the delivery of narcotics, fortunately I managed to get in without being scanned.

I still wonder why Asteroid Bases aren't actually IN asteroid belts. It would give a reason to visit them.

Some are. Been in one recently, don't remember if in the pleiades or one of the nebulas in the pleiades/barnards loop/california triangle.

What the heck is that other voice talking the background????

Looks like a cool station though.

Built a new rig so unfortunately the default win 10 voice handles all the EDDI stuff. For some reason I cant transfer my Ivona Amy license to a new PC, no way am I paying to repurchase Ivona again. Stuck with a stoned robot for a ships computer.

Looks strange for something that was build by a human defence force in hostile territory...

Strange, like in "lol, what the...". Horrible choice of interior type for the Pleiades.

Quite certain the asteroid bases 'Sisters refuge' is inside the planets rings. The station also has a shipyard, a little way out of Pleiades, back towards the bubble. A good refuelling stop for anyone without a scoop.

@Tadeus72 - It is strange, the economy is industrial, the interior is tourism.

It's most probably that one. I remember when I was in the pleiades after 2.4 launch that my first home base (before I moved to alcazar's hope) was a station with a shipyard a few dozens of ly from maia.

Nice vid ... close call with the scan!!

What head tracker / VR set are you using ?

Using the CV1.

A heads up guy's, close to the station is a huge installation 'Relay Station PSJ-17' I had completely forgot that I had been out here previously in a stealth Cobra after a forum tip off. It seems to be some weird ED equivalent to Area 51, Lots of Elite combat ships with weird registrations, they don't mess about. I dropped in at the installation after off loading supplies at the new starport, got my rear end kicked and barely made it out alive.

If you visit that place make sure you unlock, drop out early and head in under stealth. Multiple Elite ranked wings protecting the relay station, couldn't count how many ships, they are all hostile.

Most asteroid bases are in rings? Like Blackthorn in the Pleiades and the Penal Colony in the Eagle Nebula. Actually, I'm not sure if I did see an asteroid base that was outside a ring.

Or do you ming they should be not in rings but in the asteroid belt thingies?

From a quick look at some of the linked images in my Ship-docks-CQC-structures-and-other-new-in-game-assets reference thread, the following asteroid bases are inside asteroid belts ...

I mostly see them outside of planetary rings. Most I've seen are just a rock in the middle of space. Off the top of my head, Darwin's Research Facility in the California nebula.

Hi there,
your finding is very interesting, I mentioned you in our German ED-Forum and visited the system by myself. Let me know if you have further interesting discoveries in the area. :)
