opinionated ranting.
*Sighs*
Yeah, no whatever, you win.
Honestly I thought you left the game a long time ago...
EDIT: Ah, I'm also taking names- just in case someone is wrong.

opinionated ranting.
They showed more detailed airless planets. That is cool and their vague plans to add more content and stuff-to-do is good.
However, we've had access to airless planets since 15th of December 2015.
Reality check: it's now almost 2018!
At this sluggish development speed we won't land on any Earth-like world by 2020 or later!
I'm not really excited about gas giants. If they announce that instead meh.
By the way, we haven't seen any tech-transfers from Planet Coaster or Jurassic World to Elite Dangerous. Such as Planet Coaster has crowd simulation. Jurassic World could be used to add alien creatures to planets.
Well, the planetary settlements are still Dead Ghost Towns without a single NPC ground-vehicle or person walking around.

While atmospheric landings and spacelegs would be good, I'd much rather Frontier spend their dev resources on fleshing out core game mechanics. Take spacelegs for instance, imagine FDev were to announce them right this minute. What would you do in the game? You'd have EVA which would be essentially a slow, tiny DPS version of SLF's (complete with a confusing explanation of how it's a hologram that goes out there) and ground exploration which would be No Man's Sky with color saturation dialed all the way down. There's literally nothing you can do in the game that would be improved by doing it on foot - the mechanics just don't exist.
I like how in a thread complaining the releases of Elite Dangerous are a little slow, people are opting Star Citizen as an alternative. Because that one never went over their projected release dates.

SC is developing features that were never present in any game ever.
Which features are those. I have not seen any evidence of that yet, and I follow the progress pretty closely being a backer. They keep saying this though, but don't show any of it. Most of the stuff is vaporware/tech demos that won't be in the game for years, and by the time it is, someone else would have already done it.SC is developing features that were never present in any game ever.

True. It was just yesterday when I thought: "Hmmm, which one of the space games that simulate a 400 billion system galaxy based on the one we're living in am I going to play this evening?"ED does not seem to be innovating anything.
Once 3.0 gets released, i bet you 80% of Elite players will migrate to Star Citizen.
OP, it took 3.5 years for FD to give us the 20k ly route in the galaxy map. I think you have time before having legs and the rest. At this rate, even SC could be in beta before that happen.

Let’s say END of 2019 -
Simple atmospheric planets - yes
Complex atmospheric planets - no
Space legs - no
Procedural generated cities - never (if you mean complex GTA like cities)
We already see how they make their cities with the planet side complexes. They will have new atmosphere appropriate ones (eh floating gas giant cities, raised platform water world cities, etc) but not more than that.

Yes, because all 300 people working at FDEV concentrated on route plotting and nothing else. They also didn't develop planetary landings within one year.
If you find some sarcasm you can keep and learn from it.
