Brace yourself. FD now using "legitimate" tactic for stretching the "thargoid narrative content" over time even more.

When it comes to FD, I learned the hard way that lazyness is way more plausible than malice.
Besides, given the weak participation to this CG, I'm not sure it matters anymore.

Sure, ED is the result of lazyness. They created it all in seven days then put their feet up. Thank god you work much harder. You are amazing.

Volunteer moderator, are the words you're looking for. And your proof that just because the numbers for the CG are low means that people are ignoring the ""narrative" approach", is where exactly?

Everything has to be done by everyone, and everything has to succeed all the time, for everyone. Thats much better storytelling indeed!

Again I'm missing something. How are you getting that from the screenshot in your op?

Its not in the screenshot, he claims the limit for reaching tier1 are set intentionally low. Some members in the community cannot handle the possibility of failure at all. Its a CG. It can fail. Maybe it wont. If everyone was like the OP, complaining rather than contributing, it will definitely fail. He'll then blame others. :D

Its a CG. The community gets to decide what happens. This community tends to focus on cr/hr, easy stuff and such before anything else. This one is a bit more challenging and pays little. So we have few contributors. It happened with the CR cargo racks too. If it fails, its because people simply didnt contribute. Its that simple.

That's some prediction. I mean hasn't this CG just started.
Why jinx it for the others. Complaining about something that
has not even had a chance to get going is ludicrous.

All that stress is going to give you wrinkles.

imo

He's predicting doom every time. I guess he either sincerely believes it every time and doesnt learn, of he just wants to be right once so he'll keep it going until something fails. [haha]

Look at the Big Picture. The Thargoids are not going to be "defeated" because that would take them out of the game, and all the resources spent designing them goes to waste. So the CG grind for weapons is totally meaningless in this final context.

By all means, have fun doing them, but don't expect a paradigm shift in outcome from doing these CGs.

Unpopular though this may seem, the OP does have a point, because the outcome is indeed going to stretch out a long way, and it will be FD that controls it, not ourselves, even if we "like to think" we have the control.

One of the voices that talked to me, during my pain medication withdrawal, said we would get the weapon anyway, just limited availability. :)

Wow, only 280 contributors? That seems kind of low. Not that I'm claiming conspiracy or anything:)

I talked to a few people, it is a common misconception that you need to kill the thargoids to get the tissue. Those who can and want to kill them tend to do just that, whereas those who want a more peaceful CG apparantly dont know it exist. Its a valid point of criticism: FD failed to properly explain how these new modules work, and what their point is.

If tier1 succeeds, it will appear only at planetary military bases. Else maybe only at Brestla/Shinrarta?

The 99%? I think he based it on the number of active players in last month (~7000), versus the active cg players. Also, it is worth pointing out that last year there were 2,000 more players, and 3,100 the year before that. This month the number of active players appears to have dropped 13-16 percent. So his number appears to make sense if compared to this source I found. I don’t know of any other stats.

Im not saying anything about this thread, other than I am not interested in Thargoids. Just tired of punching the knife edge.

I think you must have read a different OP, because that was certainly not his point.

I can imagine it now at FD: "good work designing and balancing the new weapon folks, but the cg failed so ... <presses delete>" :D

Frontier have always honoured when players decisions have gone against what they already had designed.

Volunteer or not, you guys have the ability to hide your moderator sigs when blowing out your opinion, thats all I ask for.

Ah well if you had noticed over the last month or so the forum has been paying up and so every single post has the word Moderator under our name. You'll notice that our signature still displays to show we're talking as players (just as it always has done). If you think it's a massive issue then talk to Brett about it, you're not the only one who wishes that word didn't appear there.

Also, want to answer my question?

No I asked where the proof that it meant people were ignoring the narrative. Also using steamcharts to try and define active players is just crazy. Let alone the fact you're excluding a large part of the PC player base, you are also entirely discounting console/mac players.

Small correction: that is peak players, not total players. Pretty big difference.

Don't talk to me man. I just encountered the Generation Ship Atlas .. and heard the No Brakes, ship logs ..

Tom was so brave! <sniff> Maybe humanity isn't so bad after all, I'm going to do a Aegis CG.

Those Thargs better not threaten Tom and Jean's son or they'll have me to answer to!
