General / Off-Topic Avengers:Infinity War trailer is out!

I'm pretty worn out on super hero movies, but that last screen put a smile on my face. And honestly speaking I'd probably go to the theater to watch Scarlett Johansen read the yellow pages.

While I have grown distant to comic movies, I am curious how they will spin Thanos story. Marvel's strength is well skilled writers who does adaptation to their movie universe. And Infinity War story line is up there.

Also Russos know how to do Marvel. CaptA II and III are in top three for me.

Woo!

I'm excited. :D

I do hope it's better than Avengers 2. That was a bit of a let down.

I'm not sure how well they'll be able to maintain such a huge cast and give them decent screen time, while not just having pointless scenes.

Marvel also have an advantage in that each of their heroes (with the exception of Banner/Hulk and Spidy, ish) have only been played by one actor.

Eye's only for anime equines, eh? As long as they're consenting it's all good:)

No, she's just not my type. I guess I had a different image of her from comics and that image didn't go away. I can imagine several redhead actresses I'd see playing BW much better.

Nothing against her as an actress, though.

We already know that movie character wise will have mostly Thanos POV, which is actually very interesting and refreshing change.

And for some reason - I will take this with management - no huge fallouts between actors, all actors have raised to the challenge (CaptA, Iron Man, Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Star Lord, Black Widow, Hulk).

And yes, Marvel movies have fluff, throw away story lines and characters, and some of them are a bit....a bit predictable or fail as whole movies. But overall when I am looking back I am quite surprised. I will say some people at Marvel might know what they are doing.

That said, I have liked lot of DCU stuff and are bit saddened that it stumbles on and haven't found it's footing yet.

*nod* I know what you mean. I really want to like the DC films, but they’ve just not been that great so far. And from what I hear, Justice League is a bit of a mess as well. Wonder Woman is a notable exception - that was superb.

The flip side to that is the CW tv series. Flash, Arrow, Legends and Supergirl are all extremely good. Yes, they have their bad episodes (and occasionally a bad season) but they’ve a much better track record than the films.

They did some filming here in Edinburgh. It seemed a pretty big production with dozens of heavy goods vehicles and big green screens. I'm hoping my home town gets the big budget CGI destruction treatment like New York in the first one [yesnod]

You’re in Edinburgh? I’m just down the coast in Prestonpans.
