just as long as there are no purchase 'exclusives' that directly affect gameplay e.g. a hyper-rail gun for £10 that fires 1000% faster than normal rail guns and never needs cooling etc.
Agree 100%.
I don't mind anyone who is time short/cash long paying to jump a few rungs on the ladder: it doesn't have
any impact on my personal journey and it means it's less likely that FD will need to charge us a monthly fee. Does anyone think that the developers will allow such a move to boost that player's personal journey towards elite?
If you look at E: D like a game of patience (solitaire), then paying to progress is akin to cheating to win, and we all know how hollow and unsatisfactory that is, compared to playing honestly.
The same applies to people who exploit cheats, or buy credits from gold sellers: they are short-changing themselves, and you know what - I simply don't care! MY journey, and the way I travel (and the people I meet en route, and the spectacular/comic sights and sounds, and the Easter eggs, etc) are the only things I really care about.
Oh, and I do care - I loved the original game for exactly the same reasons that I love E: D
There's nothing else like it, that's for sure.
[Edit] Well said, @TallTroll - methinks we're singing from the same hymn sheet
