You Are Going To Need A Materials Collection Ship.

Genus is correct, though. I have all my major work done.

I don't. I've done FSD's and Thrusters on all my ships. Have a strong desire to experiment with weps and hulls.

But I just can't be bothered.

It's a timescale I simply can not work to. I've been playing Mass Effect again.

It's lot's of fun.

Is this a thinly veiled "the new engineers changes are really grindy" thread? ;-)

In the vain hope that it isn't - the DBX is pretty good - 4 utils and maneouverable enough that you don't need collectors etc.

Of course there's pretty much all the ships you used to gather materials with before... unless they're all getting python'd*.

(*I'm convinced that the python's cargo targetting scanner needs serious recalibration...)

I keep meaning to get Andromeda second-hand.

I tried to play the first one and just couldn’t get into it. One of the few games I’ve technically rage quit on.

The other was Batman:Arkham Knight.

When I got this mood, I've switched to be less expecting of engineering outcome, doing it for more used ships (first), and taking a break between all these excitements of grindeneering.

No mood. Just priorities. I guess you're right though, a loooooong break. lol

When the design approach changes and Engineers is made into something worthwhile. Until then, and it will happen one way or the other...I'm happy with the odd incursion until my credit balance is zero. I'm not looking to make any credits, or grind in any way shape or form in ED anymore. Will have fun with it, whenever there's "real content" put in, otherwise I'm almost fascinated to discover how long that lasts.

Chieftain looks groovy, with A-Class modules ;-)

I have 2 AspX for this, one based in the Bubble and the other based in Colonia just for mat finding and other general things. Loved the AspX so much I got the 2nd just for this purpose...

I've never had a go at the DC games, but know people who have had a similar experience before the patches on Arkham. Mass Effect 2 is better than the first one. ;-)

Oh it was nothing to do with the buggy PC release - I’m on PS4. No, it was purely the gameplay.

You can always tell a B:AK rage quitter - just mention the words ‘Cloud Tank’. And be prepared to duck and/or run away terribly fast...

Yeah, kinda more than a bit worried about this.

Just spent a few nauseating hours in VR bouncing and twisting and turning and flying around planets gathering mats for engineering (I like being planetside, but not for hours on end mat farming). Getting 3 per pickup helped a LOT. Going back down to 1 would be ... nauseating.

Wait what?!?!

Just finished engineering a type 7 for this exact purpose. Reading the notes from some guys in beta, I saw that material drops have gone from three per pickup to one. Figured the writing was on the wall. On the plus side, I'll finally have a reason to take the ship out of dock every now and again.

This had better be a Beta thing or a lot of people are going to be...disgruntled.

I finally finished Andromeda. I've always liked the Mass Effect series, ever since I first discovered them.

Arkham Knight I also finished, and it was a good game, even if some of the things you had to do not even Batman could.

I'm thinking of just taking the conda through a couple asteroid fields with limpets grabbing mats, no refinery so just going insane with the mining lasers! Will do this post 3.0 though to hit 100/100 on a few grade 1/2s, then get trading up :S! Not sure about data though, really struggled to find efficient areas to harvest it.

I can't play today to check this, but I hope whoever the guy whose notes you read was mistaken...

On the other hand, moar personal narrative! :D
