Actual best way of credit farming (without 45 min boring travel times)

A decent way of making money, granted you have the required rank (elite rank, like trader rank etc) is missions.

Sightseeing missions in an adequate ship (such as an AspX) can pay up to 10mil in half an hour and should be easy to find even with little faction rep.

Bulk passenger missions can pay well but in my experience are pretty rare. Top end is carrying 24 politicians. Usually a short trip to a nearby star and can go up to 3mil.

The safest bet I'd say is Python hauling. Python because ~192 tons are required to get the juicier missions (current mission max is at about 180t) and of course outpost exporting pays better (so M-sized ship). Only downside is that not all destinations you'll land will have super juicy missions, so basically you may alternate between 2mil paying missions and 500k paying missions (which take about the same time to complete). Still a decent way to make money as each mission is pretty short (all destinations are within one jump reach and stations usually are close to the main star).

If you like combat either take CZ with massacre missions (pure CZ pays crap) or HazRes hunting. But if you wanna "take it easy" a huge ship is recommended (at least a buffed out FdL, or of course a decently kited out Conda/Vette).

Hi. Thanks for the positive parts of the thread. I was hoping for a good system where I can make these missions. I have a fully engineered Cutter, Anaconda and Corvette. So its not a problem of capacity or fire power. But some systems are better than others because I want to farm efficiently. Elite is not a fulltime job for me.

Is there a chance to tell me a system with good massacre missions?

It's not just the mega stuff:

A fun way I used to use was to gather Thargoid Links and sell them for 750k each.
This method only made a few million per hour (<10) but it was very satisfying. Love the T-bases and Srv play.
Plus Pirate smashing on the way to market!
But one day out of the Blue, the price changed, and now the ship I was using is outfitted for something else.
Wish they would have stuck to nerfing the EXTRA profitable stuff.

After 3.0 is released there is bound to be some broken game element that pays handsomely plus a plethora of annoying bugs [yesnod].

As a rule of thumb, I would strongly advise against sharing any locations or techniques ye find on this forum...chances are that someone would start a thread demanding it be 'fixed'

Unless ye follow some guide, yer options are fairly limited nowadays unless yer just lucky to stumble onto what I call bgs quirks...the ones where ye maybe stack several planetary scans on the same planet or every single mission goes to the exact same station less than 5 minutes away. They do exist, but on yer own head be it if ye share them in this place ^

Sound advice!

Find a system where a faction has controlling influence and also has influence (controlling helps) in surrounding systems.
Rank up with that faction, once you get Allied you will find good missions you can stack up.
Transport missions can be grabbed between these systems where this faction has influence. Make $ both ways!
Usually with a faction with this much power they will get attacked and there will be massacre missions to kill their enemies.
They will most likely want you to kill those pesky week factions skimmers.
Also, depending on how "nice" your new friends are they may have some civil unrest so you will get missions to take out those "terrorist' they don't like.
And lets not forget those pirates the keep trying to steal from them.
Once you rank up there will also be good bulk passenger and sight seeing missions.

This is not a "get rich quick exploit"! It is just working the game the way it is intended to be worked.

They change all the time depending on the BGS.

Look for war/civil war systems in the galaxy map, there's bound to be one not far from what you are right now (assuming you are in the bubble).

Go to a station in a system with a war going on, "pick a side", take missions, go to CZ, kill ships, go back for refuel and mission return, rinse and repeat. You'll quickly have a good standing with the "side" you picked and as such will get better paying massacre missions (with higher kill requirements, but still). You can't stack them anymore, but it's still quite a decent way to make money.

I didn't check recently but with a bit of luck you'll get between 10 and 20 mil for killing between 50 and 100 ships. That may sound a lot but ships pops all the time in a CZ, so you're looking at less than an hour of fighting if luck is on your side when fighting in a big, combat ready ship. Plus of course you can rack-up the combat bonds, even though that's pocket change with regard to 20 mil paying missions.

In a good big ship it's relatively safe (just don't get dragged into the "enemy controlled" area of the fight) and you kill ships quickly, especially you have a few turrets to register hits on multiple ships (your allies will kill ships on their own).

Good hunting CMDR o7

I don't follow most of the gold-rush credit fountain activities, I can only go off what I know from my day-to-day, I also vouch for CZs if you can find a system that gives a lot of massacre missions and you get allied. You just mow down in the CZ, getting pocket change from the bonds and big 'paydays' from the missions as they tick down (If you are lucky you can find more than one faction targeting one of the warring factions, and the two sets of missions will stack on each other, so double the payout per kill.)

It's probably the number one way I make my spending money--though I happen to love CZ combat, so it's a perfect fit for me gameplay-wise. I'll usually pull ~20-40mill per session when I find a good war going on in a busy system near-by.

Some CGs can also be huge if you know how to avoid to many rebuys in open, or if you scoot to solo, you just gotta keep an eye on them and see how successful it's looking. Getting to 50% isn't too tough, and it usually nets you anywhere from 6-30 mill in addition to whatever you earned doing the activity.

I can confirm that BH CG are a decent way of making money. You get the bounties of course, usually find wings hunting the same baddies, and if you can reach the higher tiers you get a great bonus (up to tens of millions in the top 10%). But that requires some dedication over a few days.

I'm a fan of the Community Goals as well. They offer a modest amount of variety in terms of location and gameplay, and even a token effort can snag some decent credits.

More often than not, they can also be stacked with other activities such as Conflict Zones, Resource Extraction Sites, mission running, mining, trading and so on.

Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.

What Clifra in post 27 said.

Its how I've played since original beta. Trader missions / other stuff in an area with a strong faction that is spread over a number of systems, often you can find more than one powerful faction. Stack trader missions. Get allied with the factions and turn over between 3-10m cr per run. You get the occasional mission that pays well. I use my Python for medium pad access on plats. Its fully spec'd for combat and carries 192 tons cargo. If you get interdicted the bounties from NPC pirates can be a nice sum too. I have a cutter, python, FdL, DBX, I-courier and some other scrap metal, all A graded and engineered and 670m cr in cash. It's a time thing really, I'm happy to take my time to get my fleet and cash balance to where I want it but its down to the individual and how they want to play.

Credits turn up all the time. The way to become rich is to avoid paying rebuys. RP in a way that makes losing a ship the disaster it should be.

Massacre missions seems to be interesting. Yesterday I tried to find a good system and I failed. I flew to 4 systems in Civil War or War but there where no massacre missions.

I would be glad if someone can give me a hint throught PM

Pick a station with loads of factions. Get allied with all of them (pirates are not relevant however). Soon enough, you'll see some handsomely paid ones (there are many types, btw,) all across the board, sharing patterns and common, err, interests. From there, you should know what to do. Can't say more, because 1-Verminstar is absolutely right, and 2-part of the fun is figuring those things for yourself :)

I think you mean rank 5 for which you need to invest 100 million. Rank 1 gets you zero bonus. Also 20 mil per hour is not possible. Averaged over a week, it's about 10 mil per hour if you have an engineered Corvette, Anaconda or some other shield tank.

Yeah, 20 mil/h for pure bounty hunting is an exaggeration. (Although I think he might mixing up rank 1 and 2, I used to do that)

I managed about 10-13 million per hour when combining bounty hunting + rank 2 with Arissa (only 20% extra, as she fell down the list last week) + bounty hunting missions.
That was with a very, VERY lucky spawn-rate at the RES.

Hi. What is actually the best way to farm credits? The Palin missions are gone and I don't like a passenger mission with a boring flight time of 45 minutes. I heard Quince scan missions are now one scan point for each mission, so there are not usable, too.

I don't need to make 200 Million/h but a constant rewarding stream of money would be good.

money making has been nerfed. I would recommend waiting to see what next patch does and focusing right now on gathering stuff for engineering. Making money won’t get worse than it is right now, this is the absolute lowpoint since before the first trading nerf.

As with a lot of mission types, you need to be allied to get the best ones.

Is there any way to have the slightest idea what the top end payouts after you've put the work in will be like? Or do you have to throw the dice at every station until you find one that isn't wasting your time?
