Module Storage to be doubled for 3.0

Its really not.

I didn't even know there were storage limits on modules. I think I have 5-10 modules in storage at any one time.
So its currently 60? .... do people actually hit this limit?

Yes. Especially when you engineer weapons and want to keep different versions with different effects in storage.

With 3.0 and the Tech Broker weapons, its easier to hit the 60 limit.

Btw, am I the only one who thinks Sandro et al. seem way more relaxed and upbeat lately, and way less cagey and anxious in their answering? :)

I've thought this was the case ever since MB was reassigned! Coincidence? You decide!

Btw - about the module storage announcement - 'made my day! Good job, Frontier.

I might even take the time to check whether the store items that I bought a few weeks ago (~£35, I think!? Hmmm - not typical behaviour of someone who is 'upset' at the game, eh Sleuty?[big grin]) have been added to my account!

Also this...

With the old Engineer system, you wouldn't know what to get. So many people would store 3-5 copies of each weapon to Engineer, then travel to Engineer, get the weapons transfered, and then start rolling. With an Anaconda, which has 8 hardpoints.... that alone are 35 module slots.

Thankfully, the new Engineer system is fixing that part of the problem, but will probably add other issues... :)

Time will tell when BETA goes onto Live servers.

Ha, I miss MB. Where are the days of answering every single question during a Q&A with "probably not."? :D And £35? Come forwards, young squire, for you have shown potential in the eyes of this white knight!

now we really need storage filters

aka, someon from FDEV copy&paste the filter over to that screen. please

Hah! I was going to post asking how long before ppl realise how unmanageable 120 unordered un-named things is gonna be. I imaging the salt will flow freely. Kinda like when a genie gives you three wishes but they are all really curses!

i really hate how that storage does not even sort by module type, but only by size and name
and its an endless scroll down with 60 modules, when you want to check how long until modules in transit will take to reach their destination.

and you have to click on each entry point individually to actually see where they are, and what mod is on it.

Great news. I will finally sell the ships I own for the sole purpose of storing all kind of garbage on them.

You don't play D&D much, do you? :)

This announcement was great days indeed. And with a bit of luck the organisation within the module storage facility will be split into sections for easy reviewing.

Glad they're doing this. I still hope they will work on improving the UI/UX for stored modules, though. Having extra space lets us procrastinate on managing our storage, which is great, but the actual task of managing storage is still there and it's still a nightmare as far as useability goes.

How about when you "loose" a module that you left in an outfitting but non shipyard station? Is/was that a bug, or not? It happened to me more than once and I had to backtrack my moves in order to find the module and recover/sell it, because those modules still occupy space but they don't appear on the list, in order to retrieve them.

Anyway, cheers for 120! Me and my son were both shouting during the announcement but with a shadow of a doubt because we didn't know for sure if this is 100% 3.0 or just a promise for later.
