Open letter to Ed

I could understand every word Sandro and Ed said and found the shenanigans of the Commanders in the background quite entertaining but then again I'm capable of concentrating on more one thing at once ie pictures and sound at the same time

It's a shame we can't just minimize the browser and listen...

Do they still make browsers that minimize? I thought the millennials need their visual cues or they wander off mid broadcast, trip over a 5mm gap in a flagstone and sue the programmers for negligence.

I'm with the OP on this. It was distracting. Didn't help that Sandro was trying to answer a million questions in 90 minutes. I had to skip back the video a few times to try and catch what he said when I lost my attention on the antics. I ended up just minimizing it, turned it in into a podcast.

I normally can't wait for the live stream from Ed and the team, but last nights fiasco was ajoke.

I tried hard to concentrate on what was being said but the idiots in the background ruined for me. The conga in the end was ok but the other shenanigans was over the top and distracting.

Unfortunately if this is going to be the norm then I will not watch it live but rely on the other Utubers/Streamers for the information.

It was not a big problem for me, but I can understand that it might have been very distracting for some people.

Had no problem concentrating. Thought the activity in the background was entertaining. Only problem, not being British, it was hard to follow/understand when some things went too fast, but even so, I enjoyed the show. It was low key. Little bit of fun. Just quickly going over and answering questions and suggestions.

I thought it was fun to see the two of them actually enjoying the interaction with the community, in chat and in game. The fact they were having fun with it all bodes well, because people having fun with doing their job are going to have a vested interest in continuing to do it, and do it well.
I think so too. This episode felt like a bit more like buddies coming together, playing the game, and chatting about it, instead of company representatives telling us what they've decided.

And I thought it was funny to see players posing with their ships and doing stupid tricks. It's just like normal live TV. Jokesters jumping around and such in the background. I loved it.

Boy, my eyes definitely get older, but I'm not blind still. Please use standard font size next time.

Then, yes, it was distracting, in particular when some dude flashed his lights, but I've learnt to stick to the action and still follow other things happening elsewhere, so it was ok for me. FdLs, Chrome Cutter plus several Chieftains...better not, Eagles (CMDR Halcyone and another one) were fun and entertaining. YMMV.

I am grateful to Ed, Sandro and team for staying late at work to stream for us. I can understand that it's not easy to parse all the words being said, especially there being a multitude of english accents. However, Sandy was speaking very fast because Sandy was trying his best to answer all the questions that we posted in the limited time they had before being kicked out of their building.

Sandy, Ed, Space Loach and FDev, thank you for all you do and I can't wait for Chapter One to go Live!

And walk and chew gum at the same time. :D

Guilty as charged

FA-Off Courier drifting across the screen.

I agree with the OP but for different reasons. I lasted for about 10 minutes after the talking began before bailing in utter annoyance.

Once the stream started I just couldn't get past the guy talking (the one wearing the NY Yankees ball cap). Sounded like he was talking thru a mouthful of mush. Understood about half of what he said.

The stuff going on in the background was mildly distracting and because it added absolutely nothing to the content supposed to be presented it should not have been happening. A static background would have been better.

And the guy with the beard??? Well - I won't go there - not in the mood to deal with fan bois right now.

The guy with the beard has a name, if you even bothered to look it up, also, perhaps if you didn't have such a rotten attitude you might have gone beyond the 10 minutes and came to appreciate that they do these live streams to benefit US. They don't have to waste their time for this abuse.

Deal with fan boys, because they're coming! Haha!

You've got the right idea OP

Just in the wrong context

What we really need is to ban gif use in forum avatars

Now that's distracting
