If I ever tern ganker in the game for some mad reason, the Cobra Mk. IV might well be at the top of my list of ships of choice to molest others with. Well... try to. [hehe]

I don't care about exclusives and would generally prefer they weren't a thing anyway. It is what it is though, and Frontier going back on a clear promise and term of sale would have larger ramifications for them.

I've got quite a few games that came with "exclusive" stuff. Yet I got most of them a couple of years after release, when the exclusive items are just added into the base package along with all the DLC.

I can't remember a fuss about any of them.

Because these sorts of things are generally only a concern for the most niche of the niche. I have no stats or sources, but in my experience it doesn't seem that many people really do care about something being or staying exclusive unless it's a collectable item that can be sold for a high price later. Video game items, especially digital, don't really fall into that realm.

Assuming they were actually listed as exclusives that would never be offered again as a selling point, I would hesitate buying anything from those companies, provided I knew about it of course. I'm not in the habit of willingly doing business with people that go back on their word. YMMV.

LOL! Same. I bought some CM2 paintjob once too.

In a way, I wish I could buy a CM2 in my second account, because it seems like a neat ship to use for piracy. But... whatever. If it's released or not, doesn't matter so much since there's plenty of ships to choose from.

If you don't have access to the ship, you more than likely won't in the future either, so getting in touch with Support for a refund for the paint job would likely be your most viable course of action.

For the sake of a couple of dollars I'll just keep it - FD will, one day, re-release the Mk IV. I have nothing to back that up, it's just what I [choose to?] believe will happen

Yes sir, I've kept nearly every ship I've bought - apart from my original sidewinder, which much later I returned to the station I had sold it to, and bought it back (well, another sidewinder but in my head I bought back my original ship from the dealer.) I also collect ex-wives. Expensive hobby.

Have you tried Ebay or Etsy? You may not get market value return, but a few nickels is a few nickels.

As a rule I buy games when they are couple of years old all the bugs are fixed there's lots of mods and you get everything rolled into one usually for less than initial basic release price. Lots of them come with things that are described as "exclusive", but I never read the small print for video games.

Seems to be industry standard that exclusive doesn't last.

As a quick example I've been meaning to get fallout 4 for a while, the game of the year edition has all the DLC plus base game at £39.99 which IIRC was the original release price, no idea about exclusives but it illustrates my point on deals changing over time.

Since the MkIV isn't a more OP'd version of the MkIII (imo it ain't), I'd make it available because it would appear that the only thing it has going for it (imo) is something that appeals to the "Gotta catch 'em all" crowd.

However, on the other side of the fence, exclusive means exclusive, NOT let's give it to everyone.

I would happily give up my Mk4 for having Traffic Control at Founders World refer to me as Founder.
