What to do over last 3 days before ED 3.0 update lands - last chance ideas

Making sure I have filled my material store to capacity with grade 4/5 stuff. Only 30 or so to go.
Panic engineering is now done :) 60 useful modules in module store and with enough extra to fill 4 FGS with other parts. All G5 so I can skip most of the new Engineer grind.

When 3.0 drops Max roll FSD, PD and DD5's then go explore till the inevitable bugs are ironed out.
By then I will know what items to cherry pick for further engineering and which ones to leave as legacy. Best of both worlds.

At the last minute, I just tested the four beam lasers (for defensive purposes) on my Explorer T-10 build, and realized I had an overheating problem. So I quickly ran off to the engineer to fix them as grade 5 efficient - made a huge difference. And it saves me going through a longer process in 3.0 !

Well I've been playing Subnautica.

Currently engaging in a grudge match with the Reaper Leviathan that hangs out around the Aurora's engines. I've engaged that sob three times and, three times it's been a draw. He can't kill me and I can't kill him.

Frustrating :(
Ah, Subnautica.

Back when it was still in beta, I took my Cyclops over to the Reaper that hangs around the side of the Aurora and tried to beat it to death with the submarine. Didn’t work, but I scared it away and it de-spawned.

I miss the beta days, back when the Cyclops was invincible and there were no Ghost Leviathans.

Finish my rank-up with the Feds to unlock the Corveffe whilst watching 6 nations with a broken ankle.
Painkillers should make the +50% remaining of the last rank painless! :)

O7 to all.

Upgrading shields to G5 reinforced against Thargoids and gankers.
Upgrading shields to G5 thermal against PVE NPCs.

Exploration

Leave the bubble until the 3.0 launch frenzy is over

Fill up SRV/planetside material inventory while out in the black

Return to the bubble a few weeks after 3.0 settles down and the first few patches address the major bugs

Fill up mats and data only found in the bubble

Re-engineer the fleet

Find the new cash cow

Milk it for all it's worth

See what's in the new beta

Rinse and repeat

so on and so on

This is exactly what I'm doing! I want to experience the death of the BEIGE firsthand. My family mocks the beige - as I explore my kids point to plants and yell "BEIGE!!" I hate that LOL

I got a Xbox One X to enjoy the game on. Also purchased Horizons for myself since it was being shared with me before. Wanted to pay my way.

Getting used to the eye candy so far and prepping for a few engineer runs, but mostly just biding my time on other games. :3

One thing I considered doing was dropping all G4 and below mats and filling my storage with G5 rarity mats. Decided not to. Not a bad idea though.

I'll be looking at how pretty a beige world can be... "*sniffs* I'll miss you!"

In all fairness, with the update a few days out, it would be wise to Rngineer out a few of the 'lost modules' that will be impossible to get again. However, I only Engineer ships I plan on using alot... So, while waiting for the Chieftain, I will be flying through canyons in my ICourier and attemping the same in my Gunship!

Hopefully I can immerse myself in the Guardian mystery(s?) more so in 3.??.

I just spent 1.1 billion credits on the 7 ships I consider my 'core fleet'. I bought another Cobra MKIII, Cobra MKIV, Vulture, Asp, Python, Anaconda, and Corvette. Since my core fleet is already engineered up, I decided to buy another set for use with the new engineering to compare final stats. I applied Black Friday paint, named them all 'BEYOND' and docked them at another station in the same system. I then outfitted them the same as my other fleet.

The plan was to engineer them before 3.0 so I can then skip some of the 1-5 grind but I'm not sure I'll have time to get that done.

What I should do is buy a lifetime supply of shield boosters and grd 5 them, because, good god almighty, that's going to be a pain with the new engineering system.
