Some of you are being unduly harsh to your fellow community members over this. It isn't surprising that a lot of people would want to take the names of their favourite scifi characters, I know if I had the opportunity I'd be interested in exploring the galaxy as Malcolm Reynolds! So please try to be more considerate before deriding people's choices.

Uh no. They deserve the derision.
These names are all shockingly unoriginal, unimaginative, borderline IP infringement & I guarantee no-one will actually be putting any effort into actually behaving like the characters involved.
Personally, I'm using the name I used back in '84 which has been my nickname for 40 years, but I could have come up with a ton of original names (and have in multiple MMOs before this).
So yeah, some people might feel strongly about wanting to play as Han Solo - or worse, H4n S010 - but there are a few more who will find that breaks immersion and therefore annoys them - it's one of my pet hates.
I can't wait until you start getting the Legolases and Drizzts too. They'll really fit in.
I agree this behaviour (letter replacement) is irritating, and frankly just childish, I don't think you can reasonably stop people doing it. Freedom of choice, and all that. We'll just have to hunt them down in the game!

Nothing wrong with a cheesy well known name and get it will not be common in game as you'll be the sneaky ****** who has it

- it is a film character but a more obscure one. One I also consider to be the only bad guy in any film that has NO redeeming qualities. Thoroughly hateful person through and through. I hope to make him a good man though

On the one hand I understand why people want to choose their fave scifi character (so kudos to Ashley for bringing it up); but on the other, a moment's thought should have told folks that these names would be in high demand and that it might be a good idea to think of something different (and not just their original choice followed by a number ).
