PSA! The anti Open brigade are out in force at Dangerous Dicsusion.

Actually, I think the more elegant phrasing would be...

"It was hyperbole".

And not to speak for Kurama, but he isn't a native English speaker afaik.
I believe you're correct about Kurama's mother tongue, which makes it all the more maddening when people try to correct them - their English is a hell of a lot better than what I've seen from some supposed native speakers on here. The word in question seems to have both countable and uncountable forms.

There's an errant space between your quote mark and your letter. Additionally, it should be a lower case letter, not upper case, even if you are trying (really lamely and, in fact, wrongly, to correct someone.)

Another womble for the collection.

You put the close parenthesis at the wrong place in the sentence. It should be were the comma after wrongly is. Otherwise you're sentence doesn't have any ending punctuation.

There's a grammatical error in this post.

You misspelled "where".

But don't we all have some spelling weeknesses?

You're welcome. ;)

<edit> I totally didn't see the "you're' up their in your 3nd sentence ether. </edit>

I must have missed the meeting as well.

I was also quite unaware there's an "Anti-Open Brigade" to begin with... seeing as how most of the anti-mode this or that is usually aimed at "Solo" because of the perceived BGS unfairness. (which has been demonstrated to be false- as any CMDR in any mode can perform the same actions in retaliation)

In fact, if you read most "anti-mode" posts the vast majority of them stack up against Solo because people apparently don't want to take responsibility for why Open is the mess it currently is.

Sign of the times, I suppose. Lots of finger pointing and conjecture/speculation but not a whole hell of a lot of personal responsibility taken.

I'd say that pointing out grammatical errors is good as long as it is not used to disqualify arguments.

That was actually the point I was making...as fer how I write stuff...more habit than intentional I write exactly what I think and write with an accent...and I very rarely proof read and correct meself because I actually couldnt care less if it triggers someones OCD or not...their problem not mine and it wont make the slightest bit o difference to me.

If it help, then education was a particular weak point fer me and school was...a troubled time period so if ye wanna consider me dumb, Im actually ok with that ^

Have you ever heard of (Sir) Ken Robinson?

His videos on the flaws of modern education are brilliant - he's funny, compassionate and, above all, right. Yoochoob 'im.
