Same here, I just work and watch all the moaning about how long it takes, how broken it is...then I go home and it seems fine.

And if not, Im hooked on the Magic Arena Beta...

Yeah i would like to be able to take other ships over in elite like you can in X3. Or find abandoned NPC ships.

I could understand why that would never happen. Imagine the fury if players could take over each others' ships. Nobody would ever fly in open again, because even the parasitic gankers would be terrified about losing their baby.

There really wouldnt be any difference... If your ship gets taken or destroyed. Just pay the rebuy. It would really encourage more PVP

My network is supremely slow so the download takes at least 6 hours, plus I can't start it until I get home from work, AND I'm at GMT +5.

I NEVER play on patch day :D

No you should always play on patch day, then you can come straight to the forums and lol while pointing out all the new and exciting bugs! ( Not Thargoids )

Im doing one more Power Play run today and then positioning at Jameson Memorial to get a Chieftan after the update. I plan on using it as a test case and documenting how much material and rolls it take to get to G5 with the Engineer update. Just to show how convoluted the new system is.

Because you know it is less time consuming and more stream lined.

If you played "That Other Spacegame" while waiting for 3.0 to drop no bug/crash/general weirdness can catch you off guard anymore, let's just say I've seen things over there I didn't think were possible. Speaking of "That Other Spacegame" I start liking it and I don't think I can go ba... never mind it just crashed. Hurry up FDEV, loosing my mind (and far too much money) over here! Also Spacelegs™️ when?

Same here.. NEVER.

The only folks that might get into a problem are those that actually take the day off to play the new version. Often times, Frontier is late in releasing the update until late into the day UK time. This always ends up causing a lot of salt from those who blocked out the day for playing.

All depends on where you live on the planet of course. ;)

That's pretty valid advice. Which update was it that introduced passenger missions and then promptly started having the stations (and not the cops) shooting hundreds of players instantly dead for simply accepting the wrong missions? You know? The missions that basically half the patch was based around adding to the game.

Anyone else remember that?

Support took over 4 weeks to respond to tickets simply due to the sheer volume of people being inconvenienced by that shenanigans...

Don't let yourself be a victim to whatever foul nonsense that will concoct itself this time. Billion credit missions that crash your game...Skimmers spawning on top of you at a base...Perhaps it will be rouge ATR shooting clean players this time...Or maybe these ramming NPCs will just get even worse. Whatever it is we can be sure we will ALL suffer it together. :D

Screenshot every mod you make and mission you take. When it comes to patch time Fdev have proven they cannot protect you from their own shenanigans.

Not to say they can't help you after you become a victim. They can and will help everyone. Eventually...

Fly Paranoid everyone.

In Soviet Russia, you don't play on Patch Day. Patch Day plays you. :D

PS.
On 1st approach to a Planetary Base in V3.0, maybe check for carpet-bombing skimmers or something similarly ludicrous... But other than that - go for it xD
