Hey, Whats Happened to Material Storage????

Wednesday i had ooodles of Material storage with some material EG: 'IRON' to name just one as an example, was showing 300 storage limit. This morning all of them inc Iron is now set to 100?? And to prove i am not seeing anything i actually have 145 Iron in storage even though my limit is 100??

Have they Nerfed this already??

The caps will keep changing back and forth. A re-log is not a fix as the caps will eventually flip back to all 100, before they flip back to the correct values. Rinse and repeat through your session.

The bug is evidently related to visiting a materials trader. Once you do a trade, the caps can shrink to 100. It's not just a display thing. It actually caps at 100. So a relog after every visit to a mat trader would be in order.

I saw the 100 cap in inventory when at a raw mats trader this morning. But I was still able to trade Chromium from 99 to 101 units despite the cap showing as 100 in the Systems Panel inventory, where I then saw 101/100.

Yeah I don't think it's solely linked to that, I didn't visit any mat traders yesterday (after being logged off all night), I dropped into a USS later in the evening (was mostly swapping ships and engineering Modules) and noticed the "Inventory Full" message when I went to grab something I had 138/100 of. The material vanished upon entering my cargo hold, so I didn't bother with the rest.
Checked my storage and everything was capped at 100.

I didn't use an SRV at all that day either.

Re-logging after I'd collected the things I could, did of course reset it, but it's definitely not linked solely to the mat trader. I can't tell you when it changed for me as I had the day off and was in ED pretty much all day, but it did nonetheless.
Hoping it's something they fix though at least it's 100 and not lower, so you're not losing out massively if you do happen upon rares at a USS (albeit massively annoying).

This bug crops up on its own but can be replicated by using the services of an engineer or one of the new traders.

It does seem a bit flaky all round. I ran out of nickel, so went prospecting for some. After I'd collected five, I went to check in storage and it was only showing as my having 1 nickel (which is odd, as it is collected in threes). Thought it a little odd, but did a little more prospecting and checked again after my next nickel find - at which point it had decided to show the correct amount (I suddenly had 18).

All my limits are showing as 100, though. Not that I'm anywhere near close to that on any, so isn't an issue for me at the moment (and may never be).

When you discover a new material it sets all materials to 100. Just relog to fix.

This is not the case with me as i was surface mining and noted that my SRV would not pick any Iron up and when i looked at my Mats Storage it was then i noted all been reduced to 100. So for me it would not let me collect anymore if over a 100!

As WaspO stated, it's not a display bug. When it hit me, I couldn't collect items in space with my limpets - big red "Inventory full" listed on the display in front of me - nor could I collect items with my SRV.

I ran smack into this bug on Wednesday and it was frustrating. Yesterday, I thought it had been fixed, but I guess it was just because I had been logged out for so long.

I hope a quick relog will always clear the problem. Otherwise, this is going to continue to be a major frustration.

Strange, when it happened to me I had 124/100 sulphur, yet I kept collecting and my total kept increasing despite it going over the "max". I was on a planet surface in the SRV.

I have 131 iron in my 100 limit mat storage

I capped out on a type of wake data then all of a sudden it started to accept them again, not visited any traders or logged out from capacity to re-acceptance it just sorted itself out.
