Do you also have a very fast motorbike? Just asking. :p
I bet you won't dare to bet...
Interesting new structures, yes. Maybe also more dusty effects.
But true atmospheric landings? No way my friend.

Well I had to bet something realistic or I would just be another keyboard hero...oh wait :(

Gas giants?

Gas Giants are more complicated than basic atmospheric worlds. To implement basic atmospheric worlds requires 1. add an atmospheric flight model and 2. atmospheric effects. There would be some new activities as well.

The Beyond planet tech updates will also be used for atmospheric worlds. Such as replace the surface rocks with alien plants.

Agreed.... all logical speculation points towards Atmospheric landing (of the non life bearing Varity). Btw I approve of your Lancaster themed signature. Fine aircraft they were.

This machine I find particulary pleasing on the lug hole.

OT and thread drift, but please FD use this howl in the future for a particularly special ship ‘Krait’ perhaps ?

XH558 needs to live on !

Apologies for drift again.

I think for the time being we can safely disregard landing on atmospheric planets.

Why? I suspect I may be basic atmospheric planets. I don't think it will be earthlikes planets or planets with complex life on them. But something like mars of today, I see No reason why they couldn't do that.

Why do you and others think differently?

Having the LEP myself, will be interesting to see. I'm not sweating it though, just want the most for the game to advance and progress forward. A return on investment? Well, I guess that's one way of looking at it. I see it as just having paid for future content already, whatever that may be.

Premium content will be premium FSDs
Finally the FDL and Vette will be able to jump reasonable distances!

I only paid £35 for my LEP, so I'm not too bothered anyway. Though I can understand why people who spent £120 might be concerned. Anyway, I'd be happy with even basic atmospheric landings, bringing the game just that little bit closer to Frontier: Elite 2 :)

I am one of those people on top of the base game at full retail on Steam. No sweat though.

Didn't find out about the game until I saw it on Steam in early 2015. Looked into it a little and knew it was for me. Same as Overload now too, in a way, but this is where I spend the vast majority of my gaming time.

Maybe some new SRVs? There were some interesting ones in the pre-production artwork.

As they just fiddled with the balance of the current SRV, by changing it's weight, without saying a word, there may well be other SRVs coming yeah. The current one will problty be the medium one, with the light one using the old weight value, and the heavy one using even more weight than the current 3.0 SRV.

I doubt that will be the premium content though, while the Cobra Mk4 is the outlier here, (however it was a special gift, and nothing to do with the LEP, although LEP owner got it) it doesn't seem like frontier want to have actual vehicles as purchases, due to their cosmetic only policy. I know, horizons has horizons only ships, sure, but it's not JUST ships, it's an entire expansion.
