Have a situation here, could do with some help cause this makes no sense

Hi cmdrs, I´m stuck in a new problem here. I took an assassination mission which made me wanted by the same faction that gave it. Now, it doesn´t make much sense, right? Wait, things get worse. I´m in my FdL, you know, small fuel tank and all that. So small in fact that I don´t have enough fuel to reach any system with interstellar factors so I can wipe my bounty.

So, I´m parked in a station owned by the faction that sent me in a mission that made me wanted by itself, and now even refuses to provide me the fuel to move my ship ANYWHERE.

I mean, am I the first pilot in ED history who will have to self destruct because of an empty tank INSIDE A STATION??

The thing has made me so angry that in this moment I have decided not to fly again til I get my FdL out of that station WITH MY FUEL!!
Of course I thought of calling another ship, since i´ve heard that bouties apply only to ships, but THE WHOLE STATION IS CLOSED FOR ME.
So, here i am, I´m not a griefer or a ganker or any crap, and I´m suffering the ridiculous new C&P system. And all because the mission system makes zero sense.

If you guys can suggest any idea to solve this I´d be grateful. Otherwise I think that my FdL is going to be parked there for a long time, and this game with it. I play since 16/12/3300 btw, with several weeks of lifetime devoted to this game according to the status panel
EDIT: Heck, one of the few things I was proud about my carrer is that I´ve never, ever run out of fuel. So, come on!!

How big is your fuel tank? Call the fuel rats.

With the benefit of hindsight, what loadout changes would you make to avoid this problem? Fuel scoop? Bigger tank? Just don't let the fuel run down so low? It won't get you out of this fix but hopefully it won't happen to you twice :)

I´d rather not bother them and detract them from solving real problems of pilots who get stranded out in the black, not inside a station of a faction that has so blatantly betrayed me. But I´m not a fanatic, I´ll try to find some help if that´s the case. I´m just trying to vent my frustration and to point to a serious problem with the mision structure and the new C&P system. I´m not even sure if the mission briefing informed me about the possibility of becoming wanted after completion. I don´t read them thoroughly, to be honest. But if they don´t provide this sort of info that´s a problem to address for sure.

This is the kind of thing this new crime and punishment system is doing. Punishing regular players for things out of their control or done on accident. The murder hobos aren't phased by it.

In a station. Can you fit a fuel scoop? ...oh, no outfitting with a bounty. See your problem. :)

This is in the patch notes:

"Players can sell hot ships from the shipyard for a markdown. Access to port services including ship transferring/storage/retrieval/selling are limited if the player docks in a 'wanted' ship (bounties and fines) applicable in that jurisdiction, and the cost is increased where transfer is possible."

So B4 you self destruct, check to see whether you can sell your ship, albeit for a low price.

Is there another station, outpost, or planetary port in the system?
If another faction controls it, maybe you'll have access to something that can help.

This can not possibly be what was intended. I feel your frustration. Hopefully the devs will tweaked this new C&P system for the better. I never fathom that i might need a fuel scoop for short jump range assassination missions. Was the target located in a system controlled by the mission giver? Was the target a pirate, deserter, or military leader?

At a minimum the ‘legal’ missions filter needs to be the default option. It’s crazy particularly for new players that they could be taking illegal missions without knowing it

Tgis doesn’t help the OP but as this can’t be the intention FD really should move his ship until they get the C&P system right

Let's say you support a faction that is present in 32 systems.

The BGS generates missions based on what is available in nearby systems.

So there will always be illegal missions to the faction you are supporting.

I think Dav Stott should to do a criminal-mission-generation pass on the BGS.
Factions should not generate illegal missions against themselves under the new C&P rules.

I dunno, given the activities of some countries authorities even now & spies I'd say it's actually quite realistic, i'd add a factor of plausible deniability however.

A mission pass means said faction cleans your record, a mission fail means you get tagged as a rogue element...

So you either don't want to scan your targets or don't read the mission description.
You also don't want to fit a normal sized fuel tank on your space ship.
You also don't want to call the fuel rats.
And you don't want to face the consequences of your actions.

And the game is to blame for that?

Just needs enough fuel to get into another factions jurisdiction not to an Interstellar factor. Where are you? What range do you have at the moment?

Just jump to any nearby system with a station not owned by the faction that issued the bounty and refuel there. And fit at least a small fuel scoop in the future. I have one on all my ships, even the combat ones to avoid just such situations.

OP, do you have any Jumponium materials?

Tip: While the primary purpose of Jumponium materials is to increase your jump range, they also reduce the amount of fuel you need for a shorter hop.

I used this once, to avoid having to call upon the Fuel Rats. They are a great group and I'm sure they would help you out of your predicament. They saved my butt once, on the far side of the galaxy. MoonPrayer flew for 3 days to meet up with me. (I didn't quite have my galactic map star filter set properly and wound up at an unscoopable star with a near-empty tank.)
