Beyond did literally nothing to help the grind.

Bored I am. Triggered I get. Lol. I'm triggered? Sweetness.

Yep. There it is. Right there, look. ♥

Like I said, take your own advice if you're not actually obsessing (lol) about this topic. You're bored of reading about it? Fine! Just stop doing something that bores you so much.

I find it unreasonable to expect to have a fleet of ships max g5 in less than a week. I find it unreasonable to expect the Material Traders to supplant gathering mats. I find it unreasonable that a poster with dissenting opinions should be maligned for expressing them.

If your ideas have any merit, they should be able to withstand scrutiny, and opposing view points. Adults can disagree without resorting to bully tactics.

Then stop resorting to them.

Then stop trying to use them.

Right, I'm the one started with the fake-cursing. I'm the one who started with the 'just get out' stuffs. I'm not impressed, nor moved by your gang up methods. My points stand. The Material Traders were meant to reduce some of the grind, not eliminate it all together. It isn't reasonable to expect one aspect of a mechanic to remove another. Try again.

Same here. Which idiot said they wanted that?

I find it unreasonable to expect the Material Traders to supplant gathering mats.

Tell me, how could the material traders ever supplant gathering mats when by definition you need to have gathered mats in order to use them? That's without even getting into the fact that they do pretty much supplant the need to gather any mats at all from grades 1 to 3 and I seem to recall you advocating using them for that purpose a few pages back.

Did you write that last part with a straight face?

Maybe with a little cringe, for having to write it. But, I expect, and can deal with, the fact that others may see things differently.

So can I. Anything to say about the first two replies, or shall I just infer the obvious?

I probably don't need to point out that if you expect to be treated with respect, your first line in particular was a spectacularly poor way of encouraging that.

Do what you like. I won't waste a minute worrying about it. I've stated my points. They are solid. Do your thing.

Your first 'point' wasn't actually a point at all, it was a laughable strawman that doesn't reflect anything I've said.

Your second point was a logical impossibility.

I though you said something about withstanding scrutiny earlier, I must have been mistaken. Or perhaps that's something else that you just prefer to opt out of when you no longer find it enjoyable?

G'night. :)

I disagree. 'Just don't do it' is a pretty flaccid point. Lack of any points at all otherwise, just misrepresenting others points or ignoring them completely.

From post # 124:

You haven't stated any solid points, you've basically been having a conversation with yourself and hurling a litany of disrespectful non-sequiturs that have almost no relationship with the ongoing discussion. To say they were "flaccid" is giving you entirely too much credit.

Read you can't. Obvious it is. Unless it's because another point of view just can't be understood by you. Decide the people will.

You haven't made one point that wasn't a strawman, unrelated to anything we are actually talking about or extremely weak along the lines of telling people to just not play the game. You will of course deny this but you can't point to anything either.

You will find that many of the truths that we cling to, depend greatly on our own point of view.

I think it should be considered that the Engineering changes, taken as a whole, do not have people who are already fleet-deep into the process as the intended primary benefactors.

Really, the point here is that although 3.0 has successfully addressed the grind for most mats, the remaining choke-point is a handful of manufactured materials that require the player to cause HGE USS to spawn and, because they are Top-of-Row, are difficult to trade for.

Hopefully Frontier will in due course bring said choke-point more into line with the other materials. It's a particularly frustrating choke-point for many Cmdrs because once a few simple rules are known and followed, it really is just a loot box mechanic that the punter cannot affect or enhance.

I've actually noticed some improvements. I was surprised that ships now can drop G5 mats that were previously high grade USS only. I hade a T-10 interdicting me that dropped proto light alloys. Getting similar reports from others in my wing. Droprate of materials on planets seems improved too. And then there's the material trader. The exchange rates are abysmal, but if you're full on one material it's still a way to put that surplus to use.
