A nice diversion from all the negative posts....it really is a gorgeous Galaxy out there.

Yawn. My attempt at a positive post has attracted the trolls. So sad.

Don't worry I saw what you tried to do and inject some joy into the forums...........a brief glimpse of happiness and then it was gone, lost...."like tears in the rain." Time to leave the forums and play.

What about talking about the advancing plot and story adding to immersion and its impact on bgs or new traders providing opportunities. or wing missions.
And what would you do when you completed the plot/story? Lots of open world games have uninspired storylines and one dimensional characters to give the illusion of working towards something, but in reality its just an abstract goal and your just doing the same stuff over and over again. If you need that, maybe you should consider playing something else?

This positive post is like fly paper. Attract 'em then squish 'em !

At least on ignore they can't come back :D

Good post Marc. They've hit the ball .... errr the beige one ... out of the park this time with the landable planets !

I've come to the conclusion that people get so jealous that others are enjoying the game, that they try to convince them that it is rubbish and that we shouldn't be playing it.

And when I give advice about not grinding, I get the usual thrown at me: "don't tell me how to play the game, I play the game how I want too blah, blah, blah". Well it's only advice, they can take it or leave it. I am having a great time, so the issue is with themselves it seems.

Exploration gameplay is pretty limited in the game, but for what it's worth, I still do very much enjoy it in my own way.

Hoping to see more in Q4 beyond just travel mechanics and the like. :)

Can't wait to see what changes they have in store for exploration in Q4. I am only guessing, but there was some mention of adding more of a skill element to exploration-maybe the basic honk will get you very limited info, but more detailed scans & analysis of scans will provide more valuable & interesting info

If it is all I hope it is, then I can see myself buying a second account just for exploration.

What I like specifically about the new planet textures is that they have improved on the sense of scale. It is much easier now to pick out particular rock formations and other landmarks, instead of each planet being an endless sea of bumps and craters.

Yes, the cure for beige has been outstanding!

In keeping with the theme of this positive thread, here are some more pictures of the wonderful galaxy changes which 3.0 brought to the game:

That is what I am seeing too. Also the objects such as rocks and outposts on the planets seem to blend in better to the background making it look better.

Yeah, there seems to have been a huge influx of "trolls" (though they remind me more of annoying flies) lately, half of them behave like 12 year old COD players in regards to their juvenile comments and hyperbolic, incessant whining....

But anyway, I totally agree with the OP [up]

It'll be interesting to see how effective my Vulture is at it still, especially since I plan on taking it on DW2. [noob]

Currently working on getting arsenic in the game to upgrade all of my FSDs to the new maximum. About maybe a fifth of the way there. Should be enough for at least one, maybe two of my ships, but might as well get enough for all of them while I'm at it.

Cheers.

Nah, WHAT IS SAD is someone wasting their time on here posting about a game they don't like.

I didn't say I don't like it just defending it in the most incredible vapid way way! It is pointless! what use are non beige planets seriously
When basic missions and cartography have stopped working good looking at the one one beige planets you can get to.

LMAO, yes, they will almost certainly kill the jump-Honk-jump aspect, and actually make us work at exploring (in detail at least), and just wait for the plethora of "Exploring is dead!" threads. But if they tweak the payout for detailed exploring, and a slight nerf to jump-Honk it will not be a bad thing.
I'm hoping for seriously weird planetary scenery and some new toys.

If you cannot get to the systems because basic mission and game play are broken what is the point about looking at the fake unscientific images of imaginary systems. ( I love them in VR it is the first thing I show people)

But People cannot get there!
but hey if it makes you feel better I will post a picture of my chrome cutter and the game will die because new players will not play and us buying skins will not keep it around. And it's not 1984 servers still cost lots of money and this is an online only game despite solo and how you play it

Fdev need to focus on fixing this Not planets

I don't know. Mostly just hoping they add to it with more variety of things to do out there and ways to do them. It's nice to earn a living in a way, as it where, but generally speaking, credits aren't much motivation for me in the game. I make enough for my style of play as a survivalist and then some.

so your great screen shot is the system greather than 8ly because people cant jump that far now
get fdev to focus on what matters

your post is not positive you are trying to distract from legitimate posts maybe because you are an long time "elite" poster who never have any difficulties because you are not playing or play testing the game other than road to riches exploit or exploring on your own
but that is fine
keep killing it 3.0 will not be 4.0 because of negative threads like yours

we are not negative just because we point out problems
