These kind of angry threads usually do not help too much,
but the OP has a point. The rewards of missions in effort/payout have always been terrible and have never been able to be addressed in a satisfactonal quality.
I always put those things on the side and did other things in the game that worked adequately.
Now as the wing missions are there I get reminded at the terrible state of the balance and netcode quality. Netcode and building and maintaining a real working wing is really nasty. Its somehow half working, which was acceptable until the wing missions were there, because i simply did not use the wing system. But now with this missions, it makes the game again feel very faulty.
Frontier is always very fast and good in developing new stuff, but balancing and getting it along with the backgound sim -> making people feel rewarded for what they are doing (baseline of the grind discussion), have never been their strength.
So lets hope it gets someday better after the n'th iteration and reworking the mission system.
