I fell for the title too, but let me say something here: the work Fd have done in the last patch regarding performance is simply awesome. I usually had problems with stuttering in icy rings (not in rocky rings though) Not any more. Kudos to the devs for that. The game looks and feels better with every new patch

Yer lucky...I went to the doc and he told me I needed help everytime I need to relieve meself...apparently Im to avoid lifting anything heavy ^

I dont like the bald freak Sinead after she gave her support to the terrorist organisations here in northern ireland some years back ^

Sorry if this is classed as off-topic but please don't delete I have to get it off my chest.

As a Prince fan since 1978 I must put the record straight. Prince wrote and produced the song for a group he formed from artists he had worked with already and called them "The Family" in 1984. He often used a different name on these projects. In August 1985 the LP was released and of course I had to buy it! "Nothing Compares 2 U" was just an album track which although among fans caused a stir was completely ignored by the masses. Then 5 years later Sinead released it , no connection with Prince, but he wasn't exactly thrilled with Sinead to put it mildly. Elite has to be the most polished Spaceship flying game on the market today.

Yes, NMS has awesome planets with life. But flying in space felt very simplistic to me. Oh, and it doesn't have MP! :-(

And Star Citizen has some great potential but currently runs like a slide show - I can't play anything at 15fps!

Has anyone else found a modern game even close to Elite?

Funny thing being I started playing this game on pc before moving to consoles with a second and then third account. Nothing like this exists on consoles while pc players have SC all to themselves, so I would say in answer to yer question that if yer a console player, then alternatives are few and far between, with what little competition there is being second rate at best and literally paling in elites shadow.

In real life, money is an issue fer me...thats partly why I dont have a pc anymore and my once beloved alfa romeo is starting to show its age...still stubbornly refuse to part with her though love it too much. My point? My point iks that outside what bills I have to pay and now and again eat and raise my teenage daughter who is at an age where a tenner a week pocket money went outta fashion decades ago...she has her own debit card I mean how old am I? When I was her age, Id never even heard of a debit card.

So anyway ye...the point. I pickup my xb1x in a few weeks...4 brick is a lotta money to someone like me and I got no shortage of red letter bills that would swallow that up in no time flat. Thankfully, bailiffs dont operate here because they afraid of us, so they sit and threaten us with letters that get annoying after a bit of ignoring and laughing at until the absolute last minute before losing a vital service like the internet.

4 brick is a lotta green to me...the single only motivating factor is my complete and utter addiction to this game and its the closest Ill get to pc performance on a console...although to be fair the xb1s I have now runs better and faster than my antique pc did and I still got addicted back then.

Love live elite...probably outlive me haha ^
