The 8A Fuel Scoop Experience

And looking very relaxed, Adolf Hitler on vibes.
Nice!..

Adolph in his youth was a painter and not very good at it. If he had gone for playing a musical instrument maybe we wouldn't of had WW II. Still getting political on a fuel scoop thread? It is amazing the comments one gets on the Forum.

UPDATE: Oops I didn't get your humor in reference to the song "the intro and the outro" by the Bonzo Dog band. Sorry about that.

Count Basie on triangle. Thank you.

Imperial Cutter 209m credits.

Fuel scoop 289m credits.

Mind blown. Some prices are too gamey to explain.

433 million for a Mirrored Surface Composite bulkhead which a trading Cutter versus PvE doesn't need with great shields. Don't get me started. Still one of the many great aspects of a Cutter is that adding weight doesn't bother it's jump range much. I'm surprised that some player/whiner hasn't called this an exploit!

When I first started playing, I used the smallest module slot for the fuel scoop, because I wanted to make sure I put cargo, x-tra fuel tanks, or something else there. But it took forever to refuel at a star. Wasn't till I started using the largest module slot for the fuel scoop that I realized how much time I had wasted. I can now make multiple trips around the bubble faster than I used to, because I finish refueling most times before realigning for my next jump.

Its the small things like this that you wish you knew when you were starting out. lol.

Razar.

Sorry, I had no clue. Found the song on YouTube. Thanks for the heads up. Sorry Frank for not getting your humor...My teenage years were listening to the sexually seductive voice of Lani Hall with Sergio Mendes and Brazil '66. Probably why I went for jazz piano versus a rock guitar. I still love that gal although she has been married for decades to Herb Albert. Go figure.

It's the small things that matter in ED. A combat Fer de Lance has a miserable jump range. But add in a 4C fuel tank and a 4C fuel scoop and it can go to anywhere. Upon arrival just store them and replace with more combat oriented modules.

Yes. Perfect for the Cutter. Bask in her glory, and all that. :D

And I agree with you! Having a chrome Cutter with ship kit speaks volumes about how much I like the Imperial look.

You know, I saw those chrome (and gold) paintjobs and thought they looked awful (I hate bling :D ). And I stand by that when I see such Cutters docked. But in your screenshots, the chrome really looks good - reflecting the environment. I am going to have to build an ExplorerCutter, and I have a horrible feeling that I might make it chrome!

The thing I dont get about the gold and chrome paint jobs is on my screen my ships look yellow / light grey, yet when I see another player in the same paint job they look gold or silver, like C3P0 or a Cylon, yet in my external camera my ship still looks goofy.

For example my mates chrome cutter looks as shiny as this...

Full disclosure. That is the original Chrome paint job, NOT the newer ChromeD paint job. Original Chrome is more reflective, new chromed is more matt.

An 8A scoop is like using an industrial water pump to drink a Capri Sun. Its complete overkill, but makes you giggle as the sun gets a straw stuck into it.
