Are there any dinosaurs you DONT want in your park?

I was just thinking about how I dislike the deinonychus model with a burning passion and it got me thinking about the dinosaurs that I will actively not include in the park.

The deinonychus looks like an actual alien. There is no redeeming feature about it for me. It couldn't be a worse dinosaur if it tried. This is nothing against Frontier who have made some the best looking dinosaurs I've ever seen; but this one is just appalling.

I also absolutely hate the apatosaurus design from JW (it's something about the face) and I doubt I'll include it as well.

What about everyone else?

I'm probably not gonna include any of the more outlandish dinosaurs that no one knows. And when I say no one I mean no one except dino freaks like us. My priority at first will be the more well known dinosaurs and I just can't see myself ever finding the space or time to include the bottom 5. For example I don't think I hever had Homalocephale in JPOG. EVER. (I actually had to google that one as I couldn't even remember the name...)

Also I really hated that pretty much all the dinos had the same skin color in JW.

They were too small, simples, and with ugly textures. XD

Yes, I'm not a fan at all of the JW grey skins. I'm glad Frontier have moved away from that and made theirs a lot more colourful. Quite frankly it's more biologically-likely that dinosaurs were colourful. Very few modern animals are just big and grey.

And they also look a thousand times better! I want a mix of oldies and newies. I'm not a huge fan of the stegosaurus either and I'm going to be a nerd and keep dinosaurs with others of their particular period in time (roughly break them into just Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous).

Couldn't agree more. It's also just really lazy what they did in JW...''Oh know what? Let's just use the same texture for all the dinosaurs. I'm sure no one will notice...''

Edmontosaurus. 100% carnivore fodder for me sorry :)

I like the Deinonychus because I do like wattles and crests and I also like dromaeosaurs.

Since the Indominus might be a mission, I don't think I'll get the option of not putting it in the park. Don't gather your pitchforks please, I'm just not a big fan of the hybrids in general.

Don't worry, I'm not a fan of them either.

I'm glad to see that I am not the only one. It's not that I hate the hybrids. But they are kind of a wasted opportunity for me, there are so many cool dinosaurs that were never shown in the movies and now they are making dinosaurs up. The idea that dinosaurs are not appealing enough anymore wasn't convincing in JW, I mean Zoos haven't gone out of business in the real world.

Whyyyyyyyy, hybrids are cool (Well, to be fair, the scientist/s who invented Indominus was/were really stupid, because, "hey, let's make a dinosaur that can become invisible, visitors will adore to see an empty cage most of the time"). In fact, it would be awesome to make your own hybrids aesthetically.

Read my post above yours :) I gave a more established reason there. But long story short, hybrids will never reach the coolness level of existing dinosaurs for me so they will always come last.

Hybrids other than IRex

I'm looking forward to the IRex because I expect it to pose a challenge and be a complete pain to keep contained, which will be fun.

Don't care about any others like Stegoceratops. Indoraptor might get built depending on how it is in the movie.

I'm not generally against the idea of hybrids, but what I heard about the Spino recently got me pretty annoyed. Also I'm not a fan of re-writing previously established canon because some people don't like it...the Spino was a ******* Spinosaurus ok, not a hybrid. Even if it didn't look or behave like a real Spino, what dinosaur in JP is actually completely accurate? And I'm in the T. Rex camp by the way! Also, I'm not a big fan of the I. Rex either, even though I'll probably still have it in my park. I don't really like the design all that much. In my opinion it was one of the negative aspects of JW, even though I generally liked that movie overall.

I think they all look great so far. I will admit that the inclusion of the crest makes Deinonychus look a bit unusual, but I still think it looks gorgeous. Plus Deinonychus is one of my favorite dinosaurs, so I will definitely be including it.

Honestly, I can't think of any that I don't want to include.

I thought the I. rex was fine, but I really wish hybrids had been a one-off thing. I was hoping JW:FK would only feature "real" dinosaurs. Don't get me wrong, I'm still planning on seeing it, I was just hoping I. rex would have been the only hybrid.

I am not fond of the hybrids. But I believe one of the islands will require you to have an Indominus Rex. It's funny since the game seems to take place after the JW incident which was caused by the Indominus and they want you to make another.

Otherwise I have no issue with it. Of course if I am correct and Isla Nublar is the 1993 JP then I will only have movie Dinosaurs in my park. But I may make some exceptions. If we a Nublar sandbox mode I will go with movie and novel Dinosaurs.
