Not really. Got mine early on when there was an offer on for $50 (£32 then). Easily got my money's worth.

Didn't realise the lifetime of the game had come to an end. Must have been playing a different game last night, but it sure looked like ED.
You do know there is a new paid for DLC coming this year don't you, which LEP owner won't have to pay for.
I do feel if you pay for somthing that offers you this or that you should at least get some of what was on offer which i guess the OP has got and I do belive there is more DLC coming,maybe thats going to be a freebie to those who paid for the life time expasion pass.
I never buy into the whole sesson pass boolllox as when it comes to games its really not worth it. Id rather wait for the stuff to come out then see if its worth my cash and even then I tend to wait for it to be on sale. yeah I know cheap skate lok

Nope, I don't feel ripped off. I have well over 2,000 hours in the game for less than £200. That works out at over 10 hours play for £1. I cannot think of any purchasable entertainment that has such a good time/cost factor.
I looked at games such as Eve: Online or World of Warcraft. They have a subscription fee, and (especially with WoW) DLCs. When the option came up to buy the LEP I did. My maths suggested it would be cheaper than buying each DLC as it came out. Even if things have changed I STILL feel that I have had more than my money's worth.

Given the amount of time I've put in to ED I'm not fussed to be honest.
I fully expect there will be paid DLC in the future (as FD have hinted at and others here have mentioned) and I would rather hope to get that for free.
Was it ever not clear that this was going to be something of a long haul? We have perhaps had less paid expansions than anticipated by now, fair enough, but we also have a pretty neat game which is getting better. They'll be more in the future and if you have the pass extra win for you.

I have to wonder if the OP will be one of those complaining when the paid content comes out later this year while life timers get it for free and the others get to moan about the price.
I backed the game for quite a bit of money. It's less money than I paid for a commercial tank simulation software, and I got more out of ED. Even so, I can understand people who feel short changed. But haven't we been over this topic before?
Don't worry so much about seasons. Worry more about Frontier making Multicrew worthwhile, improving missions, adding NPC persistence, etc.

As stated above, Frontier have stated that owners of the LEP will continue to receive paid content for free.
I spent more on a few round of drinks last weekend then I spent on the LEP. Definitely feel ripped off about one of those actions.

Its content it's at the same time pay walled by DLC but the DLC are to free so Lifetime Expansions owners have to feel ripped.

AFAIK all that was said was "there will be some premium content for LEP owners in Elite: Beyond", so I'd be careful how you phrase things, as we all know this is a nitpicky community
As for the OP - I don't feel ripped... yet. Got my LEP with Premium Beta and at the time I thought I'm crazy spending that much on a game - now I don't regret it at all to be honest. I don't have to worry about any paid content in Elite ever again. More than happy with that!
Saying that, Season 3 being free is a bit of a slap in LEP owners' face indeed, but I understand why they made that decision, considering it's a season of core mechanic improvements, rather than new expansion. And there is still the matter of "premium content" for LEP owners.
We'll see.

T.J. just told you that there's MORE paid content incoming. So people that bought into LEP are getting more value for their money. Ergo see Point 1) AND Point 2)
