How many copies of Elite Dangerous do you own?

Two. I play both simultaneously many times. I often use one account as an explorer, while the other allows me to switch to bubble activities, engineering, material gathering, missions.

I have used my second account as my own personal refuel/rescue ship a couple of times when I made fuel calculation errors and got myself stranded.

I let my kids play on the second account so they don't destroy my big ships, burn through all my credits land me in a prison ship with 10+ notoriety. Which they would otherwise do as their immediate order of business.

5. All PC. I can play two at the same time on one machine, but I usually only play one at a time.

Being able to play two at a time comes in handy if you need to fuel rat yourself. Almost had to do that yesterday.

At the moment i own 4 copys but play only with the very 1st one. The 2nd i got for the physical copy, the other two ( also physical ) i bought for present for someone. I also did gift away 2 copys. So in total i bought 6 copys so far all PC.

Just one (PC). I would buy another for PC as I'd really like to see what it's like to start over. I just couldn't reset my current save.

Not paying £19.99 though. Maybe £9.99 if it goes down in price.

I haven't touched my Xbox Version for 2 years. Much prefer the game in Native 4k @ 3840x2160 on my high end gaming PC @ 60fps. :D

I started on the XBOX back in July 2016 (CMDR Greylock3491.)

Then I picked up the PC edition in December 2016 (CMDR Greylock3491 as well.)

Then I got the PS4 version on launch week (CMDR Greylock3491 a third time lol.)

Then recently (2018) I picked up a second copy for the PC for a future Alt (the price was just too good!)

And just this week on Xbox I picked up a second copy for my workout room XBOX (for TGS Grey, my alt used in my Two Guys in Space series)

So not including the copies I've gifted to friends and relatives, I'm up to 5 copies! :eek:

Am I the only one who's bought multiple copies?

Please tell me I'm not!!! :(

Going exploring, and having an account in the bubble. You can park the exploring account, until you get tired of the bubble, and vice versa.

I'm not buying another copy just so that I can start a second game save.

Don't reward bad design choices like that with money by buying extra copies, because they'll associate bad decisions like that with profit and KEEP DOING IT.

Bran is the main account I play as an explorer.

The second is for interesting stuff that happens in the bubble (Interesting to me at least) - Not played that account for about 6 months now... :D

Two. PS4 lasted about a week, then PC. That got me to buy a new PC & a joystick, then a hotas, then another hotas, then I built a desk, and now VR is on the shopping list. That used PS4 game turned out to be expensive!

I'm just the opposite. I like to reward bad game design. ;)
