PvP PvP Forum Needs PvPers as Mods

Having specific/special mods is irrelevant to which flavour of forums they moderate, as they (subforums) all fall under the same house rules.
I'm having trouble seeing what your problem is with this subforum, and moderators.

The BGS subforum has the illustrious Jane Turner. We need someone like that - fair, impartial, understands the authority a moderator role grants, and knows the PvP game inside and out.

What do the other PvPers in here think?

I one hundred percent agree. This only makes sense!

That’s right, Ziggy.

But a PvP Mod will better understand why people are acting the way they are acting and actually understand the issues driving the discussions.

In other words they’ll know the culture. I’ve yet to see a mod here that understands PvP.

If you don’t think that isn’t crucial to moderating I don’t know what to tell you!

Besides, what’s wrong with a PvPer moderating? If you’re not a PvPer you’ve got no standing in this discussion anyway! [haha]

1. Breaking forum rules is breaking forum rules, regardless of the issues driving the discussion.
2. I have seen mods that understand PvP
3. That much is obvious.
4. Nothing.
5. Not your call I'm afraid.

+1. Moderation is a difficult job, worthy of respect when done right. But as rules are imposed on a subjective bases, it's an easy role to abuse. As such it's important to have qualified mods in appropriate positions.

So its settled- Ziggy and Powderpanic.

What could possibly go wrong?

NOT MY FAULT!!!!!

But, honestly I do not differentiate my decisions on posts depending on which subforum they are in. I've no problem at all with PvP Players as far as I'm concerned they add to the game hugely not detract.

The forum however is not the game, if a post or poster breaks a rule then I act on it in the fairest way I think, yes I get things wrong but that's why people have the choice to appeal via the CMs.

I'd like to see Rinzler o7o7o7 in that role. Ryan_17 or Chongobongomongo, too.

And Ziggy, your making a false equivalency. Having someone who understands the concerns of the PvP community because they actually know something about the subject and aren't constantly on the lookout for ways to either shut it down or at least subvert it would lend itself to a more balanced forum discussion. Right now all we have is a bunch of sweet little bronies who dislike PvP and disdain the PvP community and get to shape the conversation in an extremely one sided manner.

For the record, if you remove this element from the equation (and all the steaming horse apples) I actually really like our conversation curators... just not on this crucial topic.

The rules of a forum are not related to how you play the game.

While this is may be true, having a person who knows the subject matter, biblically, may help with the ensuing salt levels.

Although I see that it's already piling up... Ha ha ha!

Personally, I think it would be wonderful!
