General / Off-Topic May the 4th...

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side.

Saw this around 30 times before finally getting that odd new device called a VHS player.
Still consider it the best roller coaster ride of my life. So did a lot of other people.

I have Episode 4, 5, 6 on DVD now. I never have to watch Episode 4. Memorized. Stuck in my head. Will never get it out.

Hated Parts 1, 2, 3. Didn't have to be made. Some stories are best when you elude to what happened "before the dark times; before the Empire" since it makes you use your imagination.

The ONLY interesting addition was "Rogue One". Brilliant segway into "A New Hope."

No idea how good "Solo" will be.

How can anyone not like the ‘Leia becomes superwoman’ bit?!

The only reason i didnt start loudly singing the oldschool superman theme tune was because i was with my kids.

Ye gads that bit was utterly abysmal, it stood out for its terribleness, and that is saying something...

My kids (5&8) loved it though, horses for coarses i guess, glad i didnt spoil it for them by screaming “BUT YOU’RE IN SPACE, THERE IS NO GRAVITY, BOMBS WONT WORK, KICK THE LADDER ALL YOU WANT THE BUTTON WONT FALL GRRRRRR!!” like i was very tempted to.

Small sacrifices

Clearly you never watched the films very closely :)

Kid, I’ve flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I’ve seen a lot of strange stuff, but I’ve never seen anything to make me believe there’s one all-powerful Force controlling everything.

There’s no mystical energy field controls my destiny!

It’s all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.

You all owe disney $1000each for trademark and copyright infringement.
(covering all the bases since I regularly get the 2 confused).
