Not me. I don't acclimatise at all. I just suffer the heat for months until winter returns.

I promise you that I genuinely have zero tolerance for temperatures above zero. Seriously. Anything higher and I get itchy. I leave the window open during winter to freeze my room.

I believe you, everyone is different. I have poor circulation and in a cold winter my feet go blue. If I don’t take care.

It's 102F / 39C here right now.

You guys would melt. :D

40 C ambient out on the ramp used to be normal for me, as was -20 C.

Now, I'm back home where it's 25-30 C, and 90%+ humidity. I live on a climate boundary. Check with Brett C, we have tornadoes, too.

Here in my bunker apartment, I only notice the power going out.

Summer is happy time. Beers with mates in a pubs beer garden.
Walks along the beach with my dog.
load up my camping equipment on my bike and hit the lake distict.
Women dressing is skimpy clothing.
Deep dreamy blue skies and the smell of life around me.
The ability to sleep where i fall after a terrible amount of drinking and not having to worry about freezing to death.

memory and desire, stirring
dull roots with spring rain.”

Those summer days"

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.

If you passed out here you'd just get third degree burns from the pavement. ;)

Now where I live we actually have *two* distinct summers. There is May-July and July-September. The first half of the summer it's super hot and dry, with nary a cloud in sight. That's the part of the summer I really don't like. Doesn't help that all the palo verde trees are dumping blossoms and allergies are through the roof.

The second half - the monsoon season - now we're talkin'. Seasonal rains move in and we get a fair mount of moisture. When the rains are in full swing we may get a thunderstorm at least once a day that rolls through and cools everything down. The moist air blowing past the creosote gives the desert a wonderful smell.

The only downside is trying to drive home when the washes are flooding. :D

It's the tropics, what can I say, you love it or you hate it.
