I've just started a 4-night work cycle (semi-retired) so I won't be out much for the next 4 calendar days but I did managed to take the Starduster out this morning for a quick spin around the area, then a short 10 ly jump to one of the local stars, a little ground hugging looking for stuff, then back to the Gnosis (that's a 20 minute flight, BTW!!!) and put her back to bed for a while. When you work nights, your brain doesn't always function normally when trying to concentrate on flying. You get a bad case of the sleepy eye. I'll be better on Monday (which will be my first of 4 days off again).

Seems to me that there is something out there to be discovered... and they want someone to discover it.

Bringing thousands of commanders out to a specific location... must be ruins, an active Thargoid base.... something.... to be discovered.

Imagine, when we get out there... they release a new surface scanner that allows you to detect planet side anomalies easily.

Yes, and FD is taking the chance away from randoms to give the "honour" to their pet, Canonn. All Canonn ships are now KoS.

Oh, and "Canonn ship" refers to any ship that lands on the Gnosis.

Canonn have been receiving preferetial (spelling?) for a long time.

I am perfectly entitled to disagree with this, and I'm perfectly entitled to murder their ships within the game rules.

No other group would be handwaved past the permits. When that changes, I'll stop. Until then...

What a sour, immature Negative Nancy. You couldn't just join the exploration efforts because that would be too reasonable I suppose.

Yes, killing explorers is playing the game.

In a way I love this. I finally have a reason to go into the black.

Entitled is an accurate word. I never said you didn't have the right to do it, I was asking why you feel you're being excluded. The Gnosis isn't going to get discovery credits, the people doing the exploring will, and they don't have to be 'members' of Canonn, whatever the heck that means in game You're entitled to try, come get me.

I mean most of you are lucky. I'm on Xbox.

But there is a sizable exploration community on Xbox, and knowing many of them personally, they fly in Open in the black, because it's safe.

I don't like Canonn. Deal with it. As far as I'm concerned they're just regular players who deserve no special treatment.

Anyway, I'm off the forums now. Got some multicannons to arm, and shield boosters to fit.

You're not, if you're in Open.

By the way, Rammstein is the perfect anthem for this campaign.

I thought Queen of Sag A was great, and that instance was just a bit of roleplay. It bothered me that people got so angry, why did people have to get so upset about it all, couldn't folk have just played along.

This one seems a bit more "passionate" but who cares really, you die you respawn back at the ship anyway? Like it'd even be in the same system you were killed in!

Worst case it's a bit of lost exploration data, just go back out there, it's an extended trip anyway.
