Livestream Livestream tonight - The Big Bug Hunt 03 and Special Announcement

We have a special announcement that we are announcing a announcement on this livestream which we announced on the forums which lead to unofficial announcements from other forum users about an announcement which we announced on a livestream which now many users will announce to other users about our announcement of a announcement about the announcement about chapter 3 which we announced on stream

Not sure why, it felt they got things going well in the end, and no griefers inbound, so I doubt that.

Not sure why Ed would be annoyed...

As you say, things went down well and, for ONCE, COOP gameplay was shown thanks to some good CMDRs showing up. There are so many good things with Elite Dangerous regarding COOP, but so little of it is ever shown on livestreams.

Because live shows has this tendency to attract worst kind of attention seekers.

I agree, this was very good stream regarding showing commanders helping Ed.

This live stream is a great idea.

However, it was masively frustrating seing Ed not actually knowing how to use the Data Link Scanner on an SRV.

This is.... I mean, this is a very basic feature/control. He may have 3 continous weeks worth of gameplay, but if that's all flying to beagle point, then...

Has he never done a surface base data point scan mission, ever?

It was bizarre. If it was purely a control bindings issue, then totally forgiven! but it sounded more like he barely knew the scanner existed...

They are great concepts for streams though.

It looks like he didn't know how to activate alternative fire button on pad or it didn't work for some reason. He knew he had to scan it.

This!

Sad to see people jumping to conclusions, often in order to put someone down, rather than seeing what is going on. Edward might look "stupid", but he isn't. He knew what he had to do, but for some reason, it didn't work...

Cut to the chase... he did some changes to settings and then it started working....

Just watched on catch-up, yeah that was alright actually. [up]

I like that Ed can be a bit of a noob (or a brilliant actor), this is how we all come to these sites the first time. We bumble around a bit, get some things wrong but eventually work out the layout and what to do and it was cool that the second run through at the end was pretty slick. I learned that it's possible to charge a pylon from a ship and I learned that if someone else scans the orb first that you can recharge everything and get to scan it yourself without having to leave the instance. It also illustrated how people in ships can use lasers to point out stuff to the ground crew, and even break open access panels for the ground crew to scoop. Nice job Ed and Will, that was good.
