Grilled back bacon on white bread with brown sauce. Coupled with a strong cup of tea.

No1 son is a apprentice at a high class local butchers and the quality of the meat compared to supermarket meat is amazing. My vegan/vegetarian daughter is appalled but the amount of meat in our freezer..

When Jenner and Mrs J visited earlier in the year, I converted them both to HP brown sauce with the use of Bacon. (helps shift the hangovers they mysteriously both kept getting...)

Yum yum yum.

The vegetarian daughter and the butcher son ?

Explosive relationships here.

In any case, it is necessarily your fault here.

:D

Boo we got moved off topic.

Bacon is possibly more on topic than some posts on DD.

Ahh well thanks for the responses all, and keep eating bacon, the pork farmers go hungry without your support.

I like my bacon done colonial style, so it’s smoked streaky done to a crisp. It’s got to be on a roll (Asda big eat are perfect) and always always always HP sauce (occasionally il mix in some colmans to add a bit of spice)

Smoked back , rind trimmed if necessary cooked in butter and served in a warm croissant with a slice of cheddar . I am fully aware that i am going to have the **** ripped out of me for that , but i don't care I am quite content to blaze my own breakfast thank you .

Okay bacon lovers, I know there's many of you out there.

So whats the ultimate combination.

1. Smoked or not.

2. Streaky or back

3 Fried, grilled or oven baked.

4 White bread, bun or none.

5 H.P. or ketchup

For me its grilled back bacon , unsmoked on a soft white floured bun with H.P.

Please be polite and remember bacon is salty enough, we don't need any more.

I don't think I've eaten bacon for more than 3 years now.

I sure hope that tastes nicer than it looks!

It's really delicious.
Sort of like a sweet potato flour pão doce.

The texture is really light and a little eggy.
You can smash one of those rolls into a little ball.

Taro is the lifeblood and cultural staple of indigenous Hawai'ians.
It was an integral part of the sustainable farming practices of the ahupua'a system.

20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs.
Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please don't let Kevin Bacon die!

Bacon and eggs for me, plain simple and always tasty.

Awesome post.... and with regard to Bacon:

It seems someone has "saved the bacon".
