General / Off-Topic Note to self.... Remember the handbrake.

This is why I drive old bangers.

Don't care if I scratch it, or anyone else scratches it, crashes in to it, or even steals it.

I was actually pretty disappointed when I left my car at Heathrow airport for 2 weeks and it was still there when I came back...

I have a love/hate relationship with my Saab 93.
She's got all the (2005) gadgets, but most of them no longer work correctly, much like the rest of the car. :D

MOT is due soon. Need to get rid of it before it's deemed completely unroadworthy!

Just blame the person that your car hit, the fault always lies with the person that's behind...

No lie but my new motorcycle, a 2018 Honda Goldwing with the DCT (dual clutch automatic) transmission has a parking brake on it. I've never seen a motorcycle with a parking brake before but now I own one! Remembering to set it isn't my problem, but I'm constantly forgetting to release it before I ride off.

What 1st gear isn't good enough for ya? Goldwing snob, pretending to drive a 2 wheel car, needs reverse as well, what next, A/C?
All kidding aside, I don't need a parking break, but I do wish my bike had reverse.

Can't park it in gear, the automatic shifts to neutral when turning the bike off. Thus the need for a parking brake. :D

I love this new Goldwing though, absolutely the best riding motorcycle I've ever been on.

Oooh, nice.
Did honda revamp the bike for '18, cause from that angle it doesn't even look like a goldwing.

Yep, for 2018 Honda completely redesigned it 100%, it’s now a very different machine. Much lighter, more sporty, and it handles fantastic while having the smoothest ride I’ve ever experienced on a motorcycle. Plus it looks a whole lot different now too.

My step father had two of these that had 'hand brake failure' and end up totalled (one down a step hill into a river and the other off a cliff!):

He did love his citroen's though and ended up with a 'safari' version a few years later (that developed an unfixable computer glitch after a lorry backed into it). He still loved his citroen's but all that certainly made me wary ;)

In the 60s / 70s my father in his youth had three DS. He liked DS citroen.

After he changed for more "competitive", Alfa Romeo, BMW (always in the 70's), even if these cars were beyond his financial resources.
