If such a thing as economic refugees or immigrants exist (personally I don't believe in borders), lots of them are probably fleeing from the world we created. Exploiting the people and resources of Africa and other continents happens since centuries and didn't stop just because we made slavery officially illegal. If you don't like them coming here I suggest we stop buying Nestle, Nike and Apple products (along with basically every other product manufactured by global players). We all have blood on our hands and are responsible for wars and poverty as long as we want to maintain our living standard. By the way, that's not an opinion.

Just because you don't believe in borders doesn't mean we have to put up with your terms. The most ironic thing you do is imply how you are on the higher moral high ground and then use the argument that if you don't want to see economic migrants here, don't use the technology that the WEST developed. It is not the fault of the average western citizen that the west outsourced and destroyed the working class manufacturing to the developing world, it is the insane politicians and big corporations that allowed, and in some actual cases - proliferated the sweatshop working conditions that now dominate the developing world. Further your argument is flawed since most of the economic activity in places like Africa have nothing to do with western powers, and are mostly dominated by Chinese business interests, which is a communist nation.
Implying that I am on higher moral ground was not my intention, I am just as guilty for the state of the world as you are. If anything my morals are pretty low since I am typing this on an iPhone. The comment about borders was just my personal opinion and it's absolutely fair to disagree with it. On everything else, while I'd love to get into a discussion I don't want to see this thread locked, I'll try to send you a PM later.
Now we're back on topic, can I just say thanks to everyone who donated. Also in regards to a question from a friend of mine, I've added the link to the official italian register of non-profit organisations. If you hit ctrl-f and type 'Mosaiko' that's us registered in Mazzarino. And that website is Italy's equivalent of the IRS.
I asked my wife how to find some proof, given it was a valid question people had asked, and she said something like 'you have to find the glirfullbible on the chinkirlin website. We're registered there'. Which is what I heard. I figured it out on my own eventually.

Oh I'm twittering and facebooking and searching for groups and even bombarded New York City just... because... it was a good idea at 3am after a beer. I probably lost my New York City friends that night. It's why I ended up here as well, because... well the ED Community is the one I've been a part of the most over the last x years since the Kickstarter. I was desperate when the campaign started as we've been threatened since the elections. Hell I can't even play ED because I don't have a machine capable of running it since December and big ticket items are off the cards for the near future. Someone suggested I use gofundme to get a new machine, but the minute I realised what was possible, I decided to try and use it to save my kids instead. I'm WAY off my goal, but I'm learning as I go and basically the campaign lasts until I'm forced to turn the key on the door at the centre.
I'm open to suggestions, hence the glirfullbible, which I thought was a good idea. My buddy said, she knew me, but most people don't.

PS. I suppose, I wouldn't actually do this normally, but I *have* given a lot of support to ED and Frontier over the years. I could ask their community management to tweet and newsletter me, once each.

Thanks, we're still going and nearing the 1st k. Even if we get nowhere near my goal, I'm proud of what my friends have donated.
This is the last time I'll raise this here, we'll be closing at some point in December unless this takes off. I'd really like to thank those members of the community who have supported us. It has made a difference, both to my kids and to me.
