I did max out on all relevant synthesis mats (except Yttrium and Polonium, where I had about ninety of each) before I set out on my Big Exploration Trip. Never used any of 'em.

Still, better to have it and not need it....

I don't track my inventory on INARA, but I am working on filling it up. So far I have all manufatured materials full (except Guardian and Thargoid materials), now working on raw materials. Data will be the toughest, I think, some of that stuff is really hard to come by in sufficient quantities.

Yeah, data is definitely toughest I've found.

Barely 20-30 of R1-R4 mats, and about 10-15 of R5 mats. I am just starting to die of boredom if I keep farming for longer than 1 hour. Hopefully new FSS will help tremendously with farming High Grade USS, which then can be easily converted to lower tier mats via Material Trader.

I'm about 100 materials short of having all the Raw materials fully loaded. Currently working on manufactured but Data will take the longest to fill, will probably have to wait until after DW2 expedition to be honest.

My plan is to fill everything up and keep it topped up, means I'm never ever short and after an engineering splurge usually one or two trips to well known sites (Davs Hope/Orrere crashed ship etc) will fill me up again.

You posted this at a very interesting time...im currently working on loading up my inventory while waiting for 3.3 to be released....so far im fully loaded on all raw materials, currently working on Data...focusing on planetary scan missions for AEC's and mats that need to be completed through mission rewards...once data is filled will work on manufactured mats...will save guardian and thargoid for last, though unsure if i will have time to get to them and i know once 3.3 drops i will go through quite a lot of mats engineering the new ships.

Scan the four data points, log off/in, rescan.

In summary....
G5 Adaptive encryptors capture
G4 Atypical encription archives
G3 Cracked industrial firmware
G2 Modified consumer firmware

G5 and G4 mats fill up rapidly

Nearest encoded mat trader is in Ray Gateway (499Ls), Diaguandri system 93.27ly away.

Load up with G5/4 mats and trade down.

Are you guys trying to invent new ways of grinding?! I think I collect a lot of materials but actively trying to max everything, that means you can't use your materials, which is why you have them...
.
If you want a real challenge how about maxing out you bank balance?

Out on Gnosis I'm tracking down those pesky natural materials bit by bit. Maxed polonium, just a little bit more yttrium and FSD boosts R US.

Had a wingman today. We found a landed DBX npc, tried to hack it's hatch but .. apparently the shockwave, when I finished it with a salvo of heatseekers, was enough to throw his SRV in the air. Hehehehehe.

So gathering materials is grinding and meaningless because you cant use the materials but somehow grinding to max out a bank account and not spending the money to do it when the point of of making money is to spend it is totally different?

edit: Oh yeah. While everyone was beating themselves up after the Gnosis Thargoid interdiction, I sneaked out and maxed all the Thargoid materials. :D

Currently parked up at a guardian site to collect the last 190 sentinal wreckage components when the drop rate is fixed when 3.3 goes live. Then I will consider all my storage full. I refuse to do the guardian module and weapon and ship blueprints 100 times each however!
