God I love this game!

The game's accomplished combo of massive scope and sim fidelity still remains unprecedented. It's the best spacesim verse to "bask" in one's select ships somewhat like the feel of going for a casual drive or a swim. Frontier has done a great job sustaining its business and the future of ED. I look forward to the next six years of ED of the 10-year plan after official release.

I haven't checked in a while, because it's getting embarrassed, but I think I am now over 4,000 hours across two accounts, by now. Never even had a burnout/pause and a later return. Been playing virtually every day since I got in after Xmas 2015... And there is still so much I haven't even got to...

In VR it is so good, that even just mission running some cargo is spectacular.

BGS, man. It's like crack. Must. Raise. That. Inf!

So good in VR. Knew at once in the beta I'd be playing this game on and off for the next decade and a half or so. Just dipping in and out, following the updates -- the sensation of flying ships is simply too good to resist and it scratches the space sim itch wonderfully.

Apropos of nothing really, just wanted to say it! :)
Same. Have small gripes here and there, but I just make some whine out of those gripes and have a drink. :D

Best part is that it is evolving, and not standing still, even if there are changes I disagree with, it's better that it actually moves and there are new things to learn and master.

I love this game because space is pure. I am deeply weary of the stereotyping and cultural mores everyone is subjected to. I can just fly my ship and shoot rocks. I don't have to be silently courageous, handsome, beautiful or charismatic. I can be as mediocre as I wish to be and there is no one to care. Its very peaceful here, just me and my multicannons.

The surprise is what's inside. Elite is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.

Elite: Dangerous is a true sandbox game. You get people like me who make very average sand castles using a bucket as a mould. You get people like Alec who make ornate sand sculptures. And then you get people who have dug around a bit and were put off when they've found a cat's been using the sandbox as a litter tray.

Well crikey, this thread (basically just a feeling which popped into my head over morning coffee last week and needed to come out) has turned out rather well I think! [yesnod]

Thanks for all the nice words everyone - what a great community this is.

Such a sentiment could make this statement a rallying cry for so many of us, if only we wished to rally rather than slip our headphones on, hunker down into our cockpits and just undock.

Now I just have to decide whether to put "Its very peaceful here, just me and my multicannons" on a T-shirt or on a poster on the back wall of my cockpit.

ED is indeed a fantastic game.
I just came back from a break and that's just it, I always come back.
Yes certain aspects of the game are less appealing to me but there's so much that I do like.
3.3 looks like it's gonna be a blast, realy looking forward to it.

I tried other games and while I liked them they're not my cup of tea for the long term.
ED still is my number one game and I don't see that changing very soon.
