Friday thread already? Great show, love to you all! I'll be using the opportunity to share a little anecdote with you if you don't mind, just something I needed to write off my chest.
The other night I dreamt that the Klingons had written an angry letter. I don’t recall the context of the situation, or even the specific contents of the letter itself (though it would be safe to assume it was full of words like “honour” and “blood”). But what I do distinctly remember is the stamp in the corner of the page. It looked somewhat like this:
The afterimage haunted me for a while after waking up and led to several questions, the most prominent ones being how the Klingons 1. came to think this was actually a good idea, and 2. felt they would indulge in their alliance-breaking habit often enough for it to warrant owning a specific rubber stamp for the occasion. But why this one?
I have a theory.
You see, a few months prior an industrious Ferengi, sensing a business opportunity, opened up a gift shop near the entrance to the The Great Hall of Qo'noS. Let’s call him Frekk. His inventory could only be described as clichéd: Sword of Kahless replicas, Chancellor Gowron rubber masks, blood wine flasks depicting the Great Hall itself - and maybe you would like your name phaser engraved into the bottom? Sadly business didn’t take off as he’d hoped, with the Klingons’ reaction ranging from uninterested to offended, and way fewer outsiders visiting the warrior race’s homeworld than expected.
Then one particularly dull day a strange group of Klingons enter his store, puzzledly looking left and right between the unfamiliar items on their way to the counter. They tell him they’ve been tasked with drafting an important message to the Federation. And being the traditionalists they are, they want to do it the correct way, the “hoo-mon” way.
Frekk’s ears begin to tingle as he starts to talk them into buying the special Federation Document Paper he’s actually in very short supply of, and suddenly his mind wanders to the crate of 21st century human scrap, pardon me, antiques, that’s been sitting in his storeroom for quite some time now, specifically a box bearing the strange earthen crest of “Toys’R’us”, whatever that means. In the hands of an articulate entrepreneur the collection of pink “make-your-own-stamp” kits is swiftly transformed into authentic Seals of Honourable Intent, mandatory for any official human correspondence since days past.
After some debate the Klingons decide to pick the one above, with the Hello Kitty one coming in as close second.
TL;DR: Klingons ate my productivity today
I want to know what real life experience led you to dream of a peppa the pig stamp in a galactic life and death political frame. That musta been a doozy! I have NEVER had a star trek dream, despite being as serious a trekker as any I've ever met.
Color me jealous.
The wife and I have established a habit of watching a Star Trek episode or two over dinner. Currently we're at DS9's final season (again). So I've no problem discerning where that part came from. The pig stamp though... no idea. Dreams are weird.

Hi there folks!,
It's almost 4 am here. I'm finishing some architectural 3D renderings for a customer of mine. And there's nothing like browsing through various problems/complains/suggestions/ideas/remarks etc. of this lovely community here, which guess I'm proudly feeling part of. To chill a bit, to give my late night bran some rest while 3D Studio MAX is handling all the ridiculous calculations for me and for my customers. Really enjoying this guys. Even if I'll be able to visit the deep void a week or so from now, you make me drifting there meantime everyday's (or every night's) struggles in here.
Thank you especially Mr. Brett C for creating and maintaining this awesome playground for us. Thank you our brilliant and most unique community managers and all the hard working moderators here! Thank you for all the reprimands I've been given in such a gentle and professional way during my 3+ years adventure among this exceptional community. I promise, I'll do better next time!
Thank you all the brave Commanders out there, willing to spend some of your time to donate parts of your own for the joy of us all. Really appreciate this. Especially appreciate forum addicts like Alec Turner. Especially late nights like this one...
Thank you folks! Love ya! <3
P.S.
What is yours most wicked place/time of day/night you're hanging out in here, with the rest of the folks sharing same passion as you do?![]()
