Seconded. The dull and generic paint jobs in the store really need a bit of variety. Sorry to moan, but paint-pot-dip paint jobs will not loosen my wallet.

It's a striking paint job. FD can do good ones. It's just that we don't see them very often. (I realize that's the point, yet they could try harder with the more regular paint offerings.)
I think the gesture was more about being able to give it out than being about everyone liking it. I probably won't use it either (not before interacting with Water Worlds is added to the game at least) but I both appreciate the gesture & congratulate the target of being able to give it out being reached.
I can understand that... but since for some people the motivation to donate is to get something cool (and relatively easy to make like a paint job), you'd think they'd go all out and design something wicked instead of an eyesore. Sorta like the Mercy skin from Overwatch... i mean that's perhaps her best skin yet imo and came from a charity event.
On the basis that the target was reached clearly the company correctly judged that they did not need to spend more art developer time on this prize. Perhaps there was a higher target that was not reached that would suit you, we don't know. The generosity of the artists time can be appreciated without needing to compare them to the generosity (or skill) of an artist (or the person paying for their work) from another company.

I like it. More vibrant and interesting in pattern, compared to what store offers. Bonus point for being free. I have one Krait paintjob bought but it was heavy pick - almost all felt "meh" and the one I have felt the least "meh".
