Kind of understand op tbh. Now exploration is ruined from my pov the only fun left is going to be hanging round the forums and arming the ship to torment other players

Those are no cyberpunk googles, just ordinary "windshield" googles for card drivers or pilots (in WWI biplanes or something like that without real windshield).

Real steampunk googles are welding googles. You can't have steampunk without a tophat and welding googles - it's mandatory. And some randomly applied cogwheels to the clothing, that's mandatory too. And Zeppelins.
OK, we really need some welding goggles and zeppelin decals for our CMDRs, and tophats. :D

On a side note as a frequent visitor to various Comicons in the UK - those Steampunk stalls, exactly as you describe! lol

When I hear the word tophat I immediately think of Rich Uncle Pennybags. Probably from all the childhood trauma of watching the board, playing pieces, houses and hotels go flying across the room because someone went broke and was really really mad about it.

As I see it, 'your' pre-discovered system didn't have your name on it, as you say. How could that CMDR even tell it's yours? Perhaps he lives there too? Such 'revenge' is childish. And aren't tags for dogs in the first place anyway?

That's me I hate this time of year. Thankfully now I dont live in the UK its not being rammed down my throat 24/7 :p

As for the OP ...nope cant think of anything to say lol this is what I love about these forums utter madness, and yeah its a game...the world is still spinning.

Well, I can live with my name on it. Does not make me happy, but at least it is not immersion/lore breaking. So I parked my DBX and waited for update to end.
Then I spent 5 hours trying to launch the game. Finally started it only to see someone (who does not have any problems getting into the game) already dumped his name on some planets.
Worst thing I cannot even meet that CMDR in game to repeatedly kill him for a couple of days. Because he probably plays on PS/Xbox. Not like that may help anyway.

So I closed the client, took a smoke-break and realized there is no reason to respect other players’ needs and wishes.
Spent this time trying to dump my name on every planet in systems, which are known homes of player factions. While selling exploration data to pirates and killing system authority to disturb BGS as much as possible.
Yes, it is griefing in its purest form. Using the game mechanics in attempt to ruin someone else’s enjoyment. And I hope it ruined the game for at least some players.
Never done such things before, but now I do not care. I will certainly will not play this crap game anymore. And will not buy anything in store for me or my wise’s accounts (good thing her credit card is not usable for payments in internet, and I will pay from my).
I do not want to spend another year or two to make a new home system. Which will be ruined in one day by some idot. So if I had to quit the game because someone decided to change things “just for fun”, I will spend some time to make others stop playing too. Good thing it a Christmas on the horizon, it usually make people much more sad when they see hatred at that time.
So report me, try to get me banned, reply with trash-posts. Say “it is only a game” or put stupid memes about “haz your stuff”.

Check back in your system after today's patch. Looks like a bunch of those tags have been removed, so your reign of terror, and flaming plasma death can end! Just in time for the holidays.
