I wish we had more module storage slots. Add your support for 240 slots per-head here!

Good grief man. Talk about selfishness.

"I don't want it, so you shouldn't have it."

LOL. Thanks for showing your true colours.

As I've said, if it won't take a lot of devtime, then I don't have anything against it.

I personally will never use a Mamba.

But you don't see me saying "How dare FD do something that doesn't directly benefit me!"

I've never said that. I've said that I would prefer dev time to be spent on something else.

The example you've given is not quite suitable, as Mamba is already released. We're talking about something that the devs would need to spend the time on.

Unlike you, I actually appreciate that the world has many people in it, with many different wants & needs.

I would appreciate if you stop with ad-personam, as this is actually against the forum rules. You don't know me, so please stop saying things about me.

Offer me hard proof that it doesn't. ;)

I don't need to. It is you that claimed that it's a matter of changing a number in the code. If you read my post I said "I presume...", which clearly means I don't claim to know for sure. Bit later I have also added, again, that if it won't take much dev time then I don't mind this being implemented.

So what's wrong with just having multiple ships, one for every role you want them to fit, rather than storing untold numbers of modules and wasting time swapping between them?

Okay, I am going ask a simple question. Can I add mods' to my ignore list? Because to be frank I don't want to see your posts anymore.

Truly. I'm done. I just want you cut from my observable life completely.

Less engineering. Some of us have lives which means we can't put in the time to engineer more than a couple of ships. Module storage helps alleviate this issue.

Completely agree with the OP. Some of these modules are a nuisance to find if you're in the wrong part of the bubble and if you can engineer a single module 4 different ways, what do you do when you swap it out for a different engineered module? I'm not selling something I put g5 mats into. I can understand anyone who switches between PvP, Thargoid hunting and PvE having issues here.

If people are buying ships purely to store modules, that suggests something is wrong with limits somewhere.

Why don't you just select his avatar and see if 'ignore user' is available instead of acting like such a drama queen?

I would certainly apricate more slots double would be great, but more importantly a form of management system, providing sorting, finding etc. Additionally a detailed assets tab so I could find modules that maybe equipped on other ships without me having to switch to each ship and manually check (I, like many, have a lot of ships) and expansion of the number of ships able to be stored at stations would nice.

Yeah, I'd like to have a few more module storage slots but I'd also like a "Module Management System" where I could see all of my ships on-screen, scroll up and down the list, see all their modules currently installed, see all stored modules, and have the ability to select and move modules between ships and/or module storage.

Maybe even add a function to be able to save loadout presets so that I could pick a ship and click a preset and have all relevant stored modules transferred to that ship at once.

I have 26 ships in my fleet, 2 are anacondas that I use for storing modules that I might use someday and the 100 modules I have stored are fully engineered weapons, core internals and power play modules that I use for optional load outs for my ships.
I have 3 different load outs for my 4 different Kraits II's.
And if you think I'm a rare example of an ED player you're sorely mistaken. I alone have 4 friends that are in the same boat as I am.

Increasing module storage to 240 would be a huge relief to MANY players.

Another great idea would be to either import (i.e. from coriolis) or be able to store load outs. Then 1 click and equip your ship.

Edit:
Yeah, I'd like to have a few more module storage slots but I'd also like a "Module Management" system where I could see all of my ships on-screen, scroll up and down the list, see all their modules currently installed, see all stored modules, and have the ability to select and move modules between ships and/or module storage.

Ok just read your post ;p

Yes, this I would support wholeheartedly. And additionally, loadout presets, so we can change loadouts with a single click, rather than manually moving modules back and forth :/

Good grief man. Talk about selfishness.

LOL. Thanks for showing your true colours.

Says the person who says to ignore people who disagree

Ignore him mate.

You asked people to vote, ie, express their option, but you don't want any opinions that are in full agreement with you.

I'd love to add a Sidewinder Mk I & Eagle Mk II to my ship collection but I don't have enough module storage slots, for all the gear I want. ;-;

If, like me, you think we should have our module storage doubled, vote here!

If you reason i "I want it" then their reason of "I dont want it" is good enough.

If it is selfishness then so is your demand for "I want"

Burden of proof falls to the first person who made the claim it is simple, and that doubling it would have no detrimental effects on the Database

Offer me hard proof that it doesn't. ;)

Only if it comes with some sort of directory system.

This.

Dunno if my game's just "broken" but my modules aren't stored in any discernable order, either by name, class, category or value.
I currently have all my modules stored at Jameson, cos that's where I buy ships, but I've been seriously considering moving different types of module to different stations just to sort them out.

Beats me why they can't just re-use the purchasing UI to manage stored modules.

You click on "Stored Modules" and it presents you with the shop UI and there'd be, say, a little number in the corner of each category, indicating how many of each type of thing you have in storage.
You click on a category and then it gives you the current list - but only includes the items in that category.

Ideally, it'd be nice if we could properly sort/filter modules by price/size/name etc but hey, baby-steps.

You're right. I've been a complete of an idiot today.

Mods, please lock this thread.

Then why not say that instead of acting like a poo poo face then quoting forum rules when someone gets upset at you?
Not very mod like...
Just sayin

Dear gods, yes please, I mean, I love Fdev (for now), but who is their UI designer? 'cause it's not great... I assume their mantra is 'why do it on one screen when 6 and multiple clicks will work too.'

And for gosh' sakes put the star type in the middle popup with the other info when counting down to warp, it's been 5 years already.

Maybe Fdev could sell extra storage space, I'm assuming it costs on the server space and I reckon they've been fairly generous - already doubled module allowance, extra mats etc...
