Buggiest update ever

First, that's one person, not a horde of marauding white knights.
Second, he probably refers to his own experience and it's entirely possible that things work well on his end. I don't have any issues either. If someone can't log into the game I doubt that he would call him a liar. He might ignore it though...

Can everyone just stop feeding stigbob? He's clearly a troll who feasts on baiting people into responding to his inanities and provocations. I have placed him on my ignore list so I no longer see his posts directly, but unfortunately I still have to see everyone replying to him and quoting him. Please, just report him as a troll and/or put him on your ignore list, and/or at the very least stop feeding this troll by responding to him. Thank you.

Stigbob is a russian bot. If you want to see a troll take a look at Deareim's post.

Maybe I just don't get super upset about video games and expect minor bugs, an issue that causes me no more bother than other peoples internet opinions.

Grammatical mistakes or typos aside, I think what Deareim is trying to say is absolutely correct. The point of this thread is not that this update is buggy (which is unfortunately par for the course in today's world)--the point is that this update is unusually buggy beyond the normal expectations. However, every time someone in this thread expresses their frustration about the unusual degree of bugginess in this update, there are several people who are responding with, "What bugs? Oh that bug? Well that's just one bug. It's no big deal. It's just one bug. Stop complaining and play the game. Oh what's this you're listing three more bugs? Well that's just three little minor bugs. You haven't given me enough details or evidence. The game's fine. Oh there's a whole bug report forum full of pages and pages of detailed bug reports? Well those people probably just aren't playing the game right. The game's fine..." etc. etc. ad infinitum. No amount of evidence or listing of bugs is enough to satisfy these "white knights" who continue to insist that the game is fine despite the plethora of bugs currently affecting every single area of the game.

That's not the picture I get from reading the thread.

Well sure, if you're looking at the big picture, then most of this thread is the resulting derailments into name-calling and debates about whether boats can fly. But if you ignore all that off-topic stuff that results from the trolling and baiting, then I think what I said is accurate. What I said is actually just a literal summary of the interactions I had in this thread earlier before I realized that this thread is full of trolls and gave up.

With regard to connection issues, it has been a while (a week or so!) since I've had disconnections due to matchmaking/adjudication server errors, so all is not terrible now - but 'freezes' from just a few seconds to around 20 seconds are still common, and random in my case, this may be due to the number of players or some other infrastructure issue, but gets a little annoying as it has only been noticable since 3.3 went live.

I assume floating rocks and the SRV clipping below the planet are issues that aren't new? First time trying out planetary stuff, so I wouldn't know.

The game is fine.

I just skimmed the last 10 pages and what you described didn't happen a single time. Apart from Stigbob maybe...

There have been a few similar 'features' before 3.3 launched :)

"A few" meaning THOUSANDS, since supposedly this last big update fixed over 2000 bugs, yet the majority of the game-ruining bugs I started reporting on over a year ago are still there....

That's like throwing 2000 steel darts and missing a bullseye that contains a rare earth magnet...

Me being ultra-polite, sorry :)

Strange though, maybe just because I'm out in far-flung places I've only noticed a few bugs - none of note - but wouldn't be terribly surprised to find more if I was doing missions etc. The biggest gripes I have since 3.3 is the 'interesting colours' in skybox and ship console, even though it isn't a game breaker but just 'wrong' at times, and the random 'freezes' that have replaced the disconnects. but I think I'm just one of the lucky ones!
