Buggiest update ever

Troll move 101, Bob...deflection. Nice work.

No conspiracy...just empirical evidence; look at the amount critical threads that are locked for capricious, amorphous &/or expedient grounds, often before a pattern of discourse has even been established.

Some degree of loyalty is understandable on many levels when one considers the method by which they are chosen, after all it's only natural to be slightly fawning to the boss in terms of general disposition; however, they should perhaps try harder to be beyond reproach, though imo...& I'm really talking about one in particular. By & large, the incumbent moderation team are acceptable notwithstanding the above.

Sorry, but Stigbob is right in this case. The mod team does a pretty good job at allowing critical and negative discussion. Just don't insult anyone and you can basically say whatever you want about the game or FDEV.

Thats what I do.

Dismissing problematic bugs is not criticism.

You are raising an issue you've only read about. You can't fact check it and have no direct experience of it or how severe it is or how often it occurs or if its even still a thing.

[haha][haha][haha] If you only believed what you have seen by yourself you wouldn't know that Australia exists or that the universe is several billion lightyears wide.

You've proven my point but not much else by desperately going cross platform for a single unconvincing example.

In PC SRVs become extremely fragile when instanced with other people on the surface, that's something I have experienced myself and DWE reported it some years ago so...

Isnt it a deflection when you lot go off on comedy personal rubbish and get laughed at.

We only need the one moan thread for each thing, also the personal rubbish is usually the thing that kills the threads. You should try to avoid doing it.

That is a conspiracy theory.

As StuartGT explained about the subreddit they are not interested in providing a platform for the same dozen serial whingers to spam personal bugbears. Its by fans for fans, meeting fans here or there shouldn't be a shock to anyone.

Yes, thanks for repeating what I just said; generally, it is pretty good...with some notable exceptions!

Also do forgive me, but I'm not sure that your record on the impartiality front is beyond question, either; hence Bob is probably preaching to the converted. Therein lies the issue of credibility in any argument. I don't doubt your knowledge on Elite, but disingenuousness & expediency with a dash of confirmation bias really does impact plausibility in any discussion. Stigbob crossed this demarcation line a long time ago.

& there's nothing wrong with a good insult - in response to a disparaging comment etc, of course - if it's good enough for public intellectuals such as Gore Vidal & the late, great Christopher Hitchens...then who am I to disaccord?!

Second hand moaning is utterly irrelevant.

No, I do not forgive you. I do not have an issue with insults either but they don't work well on a forum.

Ughhh, I hadn't planned on visiting this thread again, but you really are turgid, tedious & tenacious, aren't you?...I can't wait to go back to work & leave you to do this full time; I can only imagine that you are exhausted at the end of a hard day's trolling.

Nice meltdown.

I'm pretty sure that Australia exists. I met a guy from Australia at a RADAR development meeting in California once. I'm sure he was legit because he had a strange accent. Sort of British, but not quite.

So, is the universe several billion miles wide, but an inch deep? ;)

Well you have the high ground my friend :) Was doing a double take today and think I’ve spent too much on cosmetics, enough to be sensitive to the ups and downs of the game at least. For sure it’s only a game!

Oops! I hope the 'high ground' comment didn't mean I came across wrongly! I have spent more than the cost of the game on cosmetics... As I play in PG's it is mostly for my own vanity :) My comment was positive as I am having minimal issues, which 'appears' fortunate for me...

A buggy update would bother me a whole lot less if they at least fixed the old bugs. It's natural for something new to be buggy until all the kinks are worked out (like FSS, new mining, etc), but when the old and serious bugs that were reported with great detail over a year ago continue to be ignored (yes, ignored), that is a sign of a company that doesn't care about the quality of their product.

And for those who don't know me, I absolutely [heart]love[heart] the game that is buried beneath the bugs. It's easy to ignore bugs in a game I don't like, but when it's a loved-one who has a disease and the doctors just shrug their shoulders, anger and frustration are the foregone reaction.

You are correct StigBob, I went too far. I did not mean it as a direct insult, even though that is how it reads. I've been having these difficult questions about the general direction of development of this game for some time, and it had to come out one way or another. I will require some soul searching until I can believe these things can be worked out.

Natural something is buggy ? In which world do we live in that some prople accept to have paid for something that is broken.
But it is not ok when your new car is broken no ?

My god, no wonder why Idiocracy was a visionary movie.

LOL, nobody has ever accused me of being too easy on Frontier when it comes to bugs.

I thank you for putting a huge grin on my face :D

New stuff is always buggy. Avoid a new release for a few weeks if it bothers you.

Also Beyond was free nobody paid for it.
