Bought the game 2 weeks ago

So I bought the game about 2 weeks ago and sale on the PlayStation store. After debating if I should get FIFA or hockey and I figured they won't give me much enjoyment so I got ED. Then it brought back memories when I was a kid in Germany it was played on computers and it was interesting but I didn't really get it. And then I kind of started hating anything space-related or space games I thought it was very nerdy and weird. Slowly I'm 35 years old now and I got into the game I haven't slept for a day 2 days ago. Got 45 million in the bank still hanging around eravate system. Doing mostly deliveries with the t7. I love this game I have battlefield v I haven't even touched it since I got this.I also didn't go online because I don't want some kid blowing me up until I get a good ship sorry. I'm debating whether I should get the voucher or just some federal assault ship cuz I have all the ranks. But I just kind of want to save and add up money. Visiting the empire just now for some goods I saw the clipper for 22 million so I might try to get over there and work with them. My home is the Cleve hub in eravate. I do want to move to Sol though. Thinking of doing the little migration soon with my dolphin get some passengers going. I got all the Knicks and systems how the game works... cant let it go...

OP. Good show! If you don't grind you won't burn out and you'll still be playing in 3+ years time (like a lot of us here on the forums).

Nice one Commander [up]

I also started out playing ED on the PS4 before switching over to PC last April.

A few minor issues aside, it’s still the best game I’ve ever played.

Welcome to the 'Verse Commander, may the Markets be full and a landing pad always available.

You are going to read a lot of different views on the game if you stick your nose into the forums. And if you ask questions you will get a lot of differing responses, mostly good, some unfortunately bad. All I can suggest is play the game your way, doing what you enjoy doing, at the pace you are comfortable with. After all, the entire aim of the game is to play the game your way.

Happy trails Commander

if you go to a PVE private group you can meet other commanders who don't blow you up.
like mobius PVE :)

Buy the Federal Assault Ship, put some multicannons on it and engineer it a little, and you will have sleeping problems for months.

Welcome to the game and forum. Sounds like you're off to a good start. 2 things I want to say:

  1. There is no end game, so don't rush it. Take your time. Enjoy the sights. It's the journey, not the destination. :)
  2. Play your way. Don't get caught up in all the chatter about how you should play, and in which mode. That's a dead end.

Apart from that?

Fly safe and welcome to the black Commander. :)

Don't forget to visit the ancient probes when you visit Sol, but expect to commit some time to that. There are some nice details in the game like beacons sending morse codes or some satellites spelling messages using the NATO alphabet.

I remember my early days in this game, forgetting that I actually had a real life. ;) Are you hearing "friendship drive charging" in your sleep yet, Nocti? o7

Tnx guys.My wife asked me what the game is about and I said meeting people and exploring and whatever u want really. It would be nice to see the grays somewhere as I've seen them for real as a holograph in the moon and that same year 2001 I believe or two the same image appeared in a crop circle in England with the same face I saw only I saw three of them looking very mean and souless. Anyways 55 million in the bank now and I don't want to spend a dime of it I've been making connections around the federation's so I got better missions. Yes I meant to say I want to buy the federal assault ship... I made a typo up there because I'm speaking and not typing. But I'm stingy I really don't need it right now. Started with the sidey of course. Didn't even bother with the adder even though I bought it then sold it ...had the Cobra a little bit... Main battleship is the viper the heavy one. I don't like it really, the shields are horrible... I ran a t-6 shieldless until I was able to get the t7 which I'm hauling stuff with now. Have the ASP Explorer outfited for 112 cargo.I thought I could take on the pirate Walter yesterday and got my handed to me. Shouldn't have chased him at 36% left... Got the keelback that I need to outfit for mining which I haven't really done yet. I've done one SRV mission and failed... the one disabling the power grid of the battleship and failed...I've read how to do it now. I used to have a good computer custom-made and my son poured water down it on his last day of his terrible twos...he had one more left in him....that was a sad day.don't get me started on the laptop and the TV,that's another story... I play this on a gaming monitor BenQ 24 inch and I wouldn't trade it for my 60 inch Samsung really as it's faster hundred forty-four refresh rate 1 millisecond...can't beat it.
