I keep getting denied docking

It doesn't matter which station, I get denied to dock anywhere I go. I've tried multiple stations and outposts and cities, and tried solo play, open play, and a private group. Still, docking denied everywhere I go. do I do?

Suppose you could try entering the station without permission; then turn around n make a quick exit n retry your docking request see if that works just to get over your hurdle. This update has added some many new bugs unfortunately elite is 🤒 at the moment. Somebody call a doctor.

Show us a pic of you being denied docking at a starport pls! Not seen that, other than at CG starports, so I feel I'm missing out :)

Is it possible that you are hostile to the controlling faction? If that happens they won't let you dock at any station they own.

I've noticed I've been denied docking at outposts a lot more frequently than I used to be, it also seems to take a lot longer for NPCs to clear the pads than it used to aswell...

I've not had any problems at stations (coriolis or orbis etc.)

Yes, that's been my experience too.

You'll have to finish your apology tour. I warned you to delete those dash cam videos before they were leaked.

The #AndMe movement has been busy.

There was a bug with outposts where an NPC ship would get stuck leaving the pad, it would sort of fall off the edge and hang there. It was treated as still occupying the pad so you would always get "Docking denied". Since there is only one pad per outpost big enough for medium ships there's no way round the problem except to log out and back in and repeat your approach to the outpost. Not sure if this has been fixed in the latest update, it's not mentioned in the patch notes.

If you are more than 7.5km away from a station or outpost they will refuse you docking permission until you get into range. Just making sure that is covered.

Same here, ever since the December update, just at outposts. If I just hang around and keep submitting requests I eventually get approved. Before that update, I'd never had a single request denied.

Lie. I have docked at many, many starports in Federation space, while I am pledged to an Empire faction... yes... you are determined hostile, but as long as you do not do any hostile moves, you should be OK.

I don't mean Powerplay, those indeed don't prevent you from docking.

But if you become hostile to a minor faction, as in lose rep so much that it goes from neutral to unfriendly to hostile, I believe that minor faction will deny docking in all stations it controls.

This happened to me recently. An asp, stood on it's tail in the corner.I tried to dislodge it,but just got warned.Solution was as you described.OP's problem sounds like not close enough to the station before requesting docking.Sometimes, you just have to wait it out.
